Growing -- the staff to -- be more effective in defeating president Barack Obama's part of their mission since joining me now to people who are out on the campaign trail to a lot of communications for governor -- they are in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania.

And former presidential candidate as well and Bobby Jindal is of course the governor of Louisiana gentlemen good morning so good to have you both with us this today thanks for -- -- there.

Morning thank you Martin Marty Martha so good morning to governor Clinton's idea -- the word came out yesterday that they were gonna add to the communications staff.

And there has been a lot of discussion and some very high eight.

Level conservative has been very outspoken about what they want to -- in -- -- campaign and they want to see it beefed up.

And they wanted to bring in -- -- some some seasoned professionals.

According to that what you think about that.

Well the campaign announced yesterday it is going to be scaling up its communications operations but that's really a reflection of the pace and scope of the campaign accelerating as the campaign gets closer to the fall on the final stages.

Plus they'll be adding ultimately -- VP candidate so there's going to be -- need to staff him or her.

And then of course the campaign just in general is going to try to be.

Bring more resources to bear on the cause of defeating Barack Obama and we should -- mean his slogan of hope and change has turned into bait and switch and we saw what the job numbers this morning all of his promises about turning around the economy and all the good things he was gonna do for the country have mostly -- unfulfilled -- broken he doesn't deserve reelection -- -- we need to communicate that repeatedly and effectively.

Governor general what do you think about the job that has been done in terms of communicating the message because what I'm hearing from a lot of you know folks that I talked to who are.

You know former campaign former Republican campaign people they're saying that they do they think the message that Mitt Romney gives -- -- to be more specific.

That he needs to be bolder in the way that he's talking about exactly what kind of president he would be and what he would do with regard to health care with regard to immigration with regard to tax reform.

What do you think about that.

A couple of things I think certainly you'll see the governor roll -- additional details as the weeks come in the next few weeks -- I think the voters we've been in Ohio together were in Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh today.

I think voters understand this is the most important election of our -- these two different candidates offer two very different visions for America under pres Obama he is -- the federal government.

To 24% -- GDP 23 million underemployed unemployed Americans.

He is wrong taxes wrong spending -- obamacare expanding government pretty new entitlement program.

Governor Romney offers very different vision for the government and for our country he -- -- the private sector not the public sector he wants to shrink government spending he wants to cut taxes.

I think people understand that you've got to probably the most different views of the role of the government the future of our -- future of our country in a presidential contest and probably a generation this presents the most liberal incompetent president.

Probably -- going all the way back to Jimmy Carter and so they'll be a lot of -- -- a lot of distraction especially from the presidential -- the reality is the president can't run on record here on -- is broken promises.

This is Roy got two very very different visions for America.

So one of the big questions of course is the vice presidential pick governor Pawlenty so when -- governor Jindal are out there -- arguing about which one it is gonna get the job.

Yeah we've been like wrestling over it for days and -- that I'm.

Whoever still obviously wrestling competition you have the Bobby stand but he scrappy is about tied at the moment now.

We're just getting of course.

Than the VP process is something we don't talk about in the campaign governor Romney's gonna have a tremendous.

Bench of talent to pick from from the business sector political sector military other backgrounds who knows but obviously he's gonna haven't wonderful field to pick from and he'll make a great -- Analysts say it was going to be governor Jindal -- they also talked about foreign trip and overseas trip.

Maybe five countries including Israel.

Possibly Poland is on the list going to it London for the Olympics why do you think that kind of trip is important for the governor to -- -- -- I think certainly it's very good -- to reaffirm our commitment to our our ally in the Middle East.

Is -- one of our most important allies in the entire world.

I think it's also a very good opportunity for the governor contrast his foreign policy vision with the president's make it very clear that the world is safer when America's strongest grandstand up our interest make sure that -- -- doesn't get a nuclear weapon.

Makes that we stand up for our allies we hardly reliable ally and defend our values and make no apologies.

For America's exceptional -- and military might ultimately I think this election will be largely decided on economic issues closer to home I think.

The American people for years remember the president told them told us give us give him four more years -- him for years and he couldn't get it done he'd be a one term president two years ago.

Former President Clinton give -- two years they couldn't get it done voted out of office I think American voters remember that commitment and other country is not headed in the right direction we can do better we can do better than unemployment above 8% for over forty -- we can do better than more government spending more time -- -- from Chinese.

-- and everybody has seen the numbers that came out this morning governor Pawlenty not very dead on the jobs front.

What do you want to hear governor Romney articulate about how he would turn this situation around specifically.

Lamar today governor Romney has put on the table some of the most specific proposals of any presidential candidate in the modern history of the country -- his experience and his vision in that regard.

Comes not from a Washington DC your political perspective.

Like president Obama's but it comes from -- an entrepreneurial perspective he knows how to get businesses growing and started and providing jobs.

And his proposals include reducing the corporate tax rate across the board income tax cuts for individuals and small businesses getting regulations more modern and lighter to encourage.

Investment and job growth.

Getting health care system that's focused on consumers and markets rather than having the government takeover targeting American energy -- through shale gas in shale oil.

Rather than trying to stifle American energy like -- and Obama and more so for those who say.

Governor Romney hasn't been specific enough or bold enough.

I just don't think that's fair he's got the most detailed specific and I think bold proposals.

If the -- any benchmark and he's out there every day communicating it and by the way he's at worst tied in the polls by some polls say is even a little ahead.

All right so that's shot that we were just showing -- where governor rod is gonna come out and give his response to the jobs numbers this morning they're getting that shot set up force in Boston.

And dad thanks very much to governors Jindal and governor Pawlenty I think that the wrestling you know idea to pick a vice presidential candidate not a bad idea I think you got to -- them -- -- we expect everybody involved.
