Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria -- -- from the fox -- weather center with your forecast for.
The southern plains as well as a southwest and today's going to be pretty active -- -- across.
Parts of the plains we do have a -- a boundary that basically stretches from the mid Atlantic into parts.
Of the Carolinas and as far west as a central plains and a -- of that system -- we seeing some showers and thunderstorms.
And some little -- will be impacting as well parts of the state of Texas while we actually still need the moisture -- taken well we can get it 93 of your high temperature in Dallas.
95 in San Antonio and Oklahoma City.
A little bit better today with those temperatures compared to what we saw last week.
Across the plains -- temperatures making into the triple digits so for today high temperature out there at 91 Amarillo actually a little -- a poolside at 84 degrees.
Hasn't had a west -- though we really are gonna see that he building out here especially across the desert southwest we have a number of excessive heat warnings in place across Southern California.
And also southern parts of Arizona take a look at the next 113.
Degrees will be a high temperature this afternoon -- a 111.
And the city of Las Vegas so once we start to see temperatures.
Making it over 110 degrees -- talked about very dangerous levels of heat.
And -- hence you Los Angeles also warming up 83 degrees your high temperature -- last week and saw temperatures only in the sixties and seventies again seeing the heat build.
Out west for today announced last we head into tomorrow and your Wednesday.
Otherwise -- seeing some of those scattered showers and storms across the plains I -- Oklahoma also parts of Kansas and even across the Texas Panhandle.
