-- politicians -- that once they run for office their lives are open to public scrutiny but some Republican members in congress say house Democrats are taking this to a whole new level.

Recording video of their homes and their families.

And then posting the pictures to the Internet.

My guess here say it happened and -- Republican representative Jim -- C and Ohio and congressman Reid -- of Wisconsin gentlemen thank you both so much for being here.

So this you know it's I'm sure you knew when you ran for office and they're -- watching out on the campaign trail I can record everything you said.

And it could wind up in -- -- but congressman and little let me start with you did you expect them to be taking video of your home and your family.

No not at all I mean that I think it really crosses a line of just.

Political decorum as -- where.

I think I think it's fair game for people that trackers at or the other party opposition to tape you when you're in a public event to see what you're saying.

I think that's fine but this type that this type of video doesn't really do anything for them or for the political process.

And quite frankly it it really disturb my wife she was very concerned about her own personal safety.

And so I think I think it is.

Problem well and you know we're showing the video I regretfully because you know we want we're telling the story but doesn't you know hopefully this.

Is -- this is your Holland and and you've come on to talk about about what I want to talk about what specifically they did because is it just posting a video of the exterior of your house and what benefits.

Today claims gain from that why are they using that against you -- I'm not exactly certain I'm I'm certain there other then the probably try to.

Maintain some type a narrative either I live in a very expensive home which I don't I live in a relatively modest middle class home in in northeast Wisconsin in -- middle class neighborhood.

I've been a successful business person and it might they might want to try to label me with a 1% as it or.

But my -- my question is would you rather -- wasn't successful we are trying to do to manage a 3.5 trillion dollar.

Budget here in this country.

I would think you'd want somebody who's had some financial management -- their life doing it.

Coming Henry C they did the same to you over a posting video -- the exterior of your home why do you -- -- goes too far.

Well again Megan this is a Republican district it's two incumbents it's incumbent Democrat Betty Sutton one of the most liberal.

Politicians and America and I'm sure when she doesn't have a record to run on after six years.

They are filming.

My house and they filmed some of my businesses it's it's amazing that they would stoop this -- But again I think when they don't have a record to run on.

These are the tactics they take.

You know the this is all based on an article that came out of Politico.

In part this is based on and and -- political reports that Democrats.

Insist these videos are our fair -- game -- -- on apologetic about these hardball tactics they -- a guy named.

Jesse Ferguson who's that Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesman.

Who said look you spent a house Republicans has spent his entire congress trying to hide that your protecting benefits for millionaires and perks for your -- Instead of protecting the middle class and we won't let them keep it secret.

Any longer congress -- see your thoughts on that.

Well again this is a -- or political rhetoric that continues since I've been in congress the last seventeen months or really need to do start talking about jobs and the economy.

And quit talking about -- gamesmanship -- that's.

Here rich guy that you can't relate to regular Americans look look at your fancy home the average American doesn't that kind of almost on -- -- -- -- -- -- out of touch.

Well -- what they should do is go -- home I grew up and I came from a middle class.

Union Democrat blue collar family.

I -- it was a four room home I would hope they would show that -- show that anywhere in America.

There's opportunity and I -- I stress that all the time.

And it's great that I think anyone in America can have that opportunity.

But as congressman rebels said.

We're talking about some big numbers what I would hope that they would want people there that have balanced budgets made payrolls understand what it is have to live within -- -- -- congressman asked.

And that's what I do.

Personally -- you worry about safety say your wife is creeped out by best buy you know -- in an age where we signed you know their real difference shot down publicly.

You know the -- step closer to our lawmakers and night -- their homes in their addresses their families.

Does it give you any pauses a public figure.

Well it gives me a little bit of pause fortunately I I live in northeastern Wisconsin which is a very safe area where their neighbors watch out for neighbors.

But I I -- that I don't think this type of strategy works that the idea of using fear and intimidation not going to be effective.

If if they should have learned one thing about the Governor Walker recall the state of Wisconsin that this type of politics doesn't work.

In it was soundly rejected just a few weeks ago and it'll be rejected again.

Now I mean it you guys don't you know make a lot of money when you when you take it down in the US congress and -- you are they undergo a lot of public scrutiny song Lazazzera Allison does seem.

Bridge too far guys thank you -- so much for being here.

Thanks thank you thank you.
