Obama blasting tax cuts for those making over 250000 saying they hurt not help our -- These tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans are also the tax cuts that are least likely to promote growth.
So we -- -- -- work to keep that up.
Not right now.
So I'm not proposing anything radical here.
I just believe that anybody making over 250000 dollars a year.
Should go back to the income tax rates we were paying under Bill Clinton.
But critics say the president is off base Wright's previous chairman of the Republican National Committee is my guest good morning bright and early -- Hey good morning direction thanks for having me on all I guess that you had an early wake up call anyway because your head not to I want to do what.
Well I'm heading up to Iowa to talk about Barack Obama's record and outsourcing.
Jobs that should be going.
To middle class families in Iowa and places like Ohio and Wisconsin.
But I'm going Iowa today to talk about that.
And certainly if this comes up as well this first topic gun and raising taxes again and America just a bad idea it's a bad idea.
Because 840000.
Small businesses.
Are you are going to have to pay more money under Barack Obama's plan now at a time that.
They can't afford it and so.
There's more to this then this did this of rich verses poor game that the president wants to play.
This is about raising taxes on small businesses.
And that's why a lot of Democrats don't agree with the president either and let's face it.
He knows exactly what's going on he knows this isn't gonna pass and he also knows that this is going to cut off.
1%.
Of their gross domestic product in this country when we're only growing at one point 6%.
He's a Smart guy he knows is all a sham and that we need to call it on.
Well but here's a thing as you know so much about politics is messaging.
Sure and it it appears.
At least in the last couple of months that the president is out in front of the messaging and Mitt Romney is responding.
Into those messages.
How can the Republican candidate and the Republican National Committee change that.
Well for one thing.
Gretchen I'm not sure -- the premise but certainly some of those things have been out there I think number of Mitt Romney's been very aggressive on Barack Obama's promises the words that come out of his mouth.
The results of his actions the the upside down nature of our debt and deficit -- are now he wants increase taxes.
That our economy is not working people know what you just release.
Washington Post poll that shows that we're in a dead heat.
You know four months ago I was doing these shows and people are asking me whether we're gonna have a brokered convention are we gonna fight all the way to and here we are now -- -- -- And national polling we have almost twice the money in the bank that the Democratic National Committee has we're going to unveil a messaging plan now today in Iowa -- Barack Obama being the outsource or in chief taking taxpayer money.
Sending it overseas.
Not the working families so we're getting aggressive and and I think we have been aggressive but I can't guarantee you're gonna do it times and -- -- -- -- Outsourcing response today to be fair is in response to the president calling Mitt Romney and outsource certain jobs.
And I just want to weigh in on that a little bit because I think that some of the -- critiques against the Republicans in last couple of weeks have been.
Why has Mitt Romney been more passive will he change now today you're gonna unveiled this website do you think that Romney surrogates now.
-- become more aggressive against President Obama as well.
Well.
Gretchen I guess I've I think we've been extremely aggressive about to get a -- -- this presence in the first day that we've talked about -- -- That that electric car company in Finland where we sent to half a billion dollars over there.
Never came back here they never opened a plant in Delaware this is not the first day we've talked about this have talked about the six months ago and so -- Mitt Romney.
And we -- we've talked about.
Battery companies and South Korea LEDs in China Windmills and and Denmark.
I think what you're going to see though is that.
Through this summer and fall things are going to ratchet up and we're gonna talk about Barack Obama's record I think you're gonna see -- very aggressive front being laid out.
And I think you're also seeing that were raising the money that we need.
In order to launch the attacks that president Obama's been launching for three years now so -- take some time for.
They had the party coming as the challenger to raise the funds necessary to get out there where we're going to be out there today Gretchen and I guarantee you.
That this thing is going to ratchet up through summer and also the fall.
And we're gonna make Barack Obama one term president save this country it's our rights of the new website revealing today is a bomb Monday -- next outsourced.
Dot com that's right.
And we'll be in Iowa.
Today talking about it and unveiling and talking about the president taking taxpayer money.
Not here in this country but sending it overseas on an ever came back all right thanks a previous thanks so much for your time had a sick thing.
