-- the president.

That states not the guy who's running to replace them.

And that guy who is running to replace him is Mitt Romney who you just heard talking yesterday.

How -- Grand Junction, Colorado as he was campaigning with a new.

Feisty -- fierce line of attack against the president after a few weeks where Republicans have complained that Romney was not swinging hard enough he came out.

With some tough attacks on President Obama not just.

On what he says is the outsourcing of jobs through president Obama's 2009 stimulus package by the companies that move -- that.

Located jobs overseas but also president's call for.

Increased tax rate for top earners this is power play I increase tire -- and hello that -- so good to see you today.

Because we have a lot to do we're gonna talk about the prospects for some tax deal.

Obviously it's not going to happen that we stipulate that but after the election and what's going to happen -- that lame duck session and all the things that could make life a little squeeze he.

Four Americans come this winter time.

And we'll talk about the effort to by Republicans to force Democrats into yet more uncomfortable -- contortions.

On the president's health care law.

As the house gets ready to vote on that.

But we will do that we will do that thank goodness with the help of our friends David Drucker who you've read it roll call you follow him at David Drucker.

And I say this every time David is on but.

It bears repeating.

Read -- stuff because essentially what he does best.

Is pull back to the 30000 foot level and tell you things that are actually important but does not get all -- up in the day today.

House keeping up the hill it's worth doing.

I didn't that was lower case I deny that that was not anything against your competitor David.

And -- dodging his former chief of staff.

Two.

The senate Republican conference is former director of communications to speaker of the house.

Congressman pastor he also knows a lot of stuff he is -- he -- of the red team but he is a clear -- and not just a talking point machine until you guys are here.

-- -- hey thanks to be here I'd I'm just gushing I just can't get over how lucky we are okay so.

Question.

Romney school vice here yesterday Republicans have been complaining Bill Kristol and others people who -- -- Romney in the primary process it's that this guy's office.

Obama's walking all over him.

Probably sounded a little tougher yesterday a little tougher guy David let's start with you is this a reaction.

On Romney's -- is this just coincidental.

Well he's back on the trail.

He took time off for his yearly big family vacation -- -- only in New Hampshire.

I say a couple of things I don't agree with.

A lot of the critics.

Who have been hammering Romney for not being ideological.

Enough over the past few weeks I believe that.

They're sold.

A lot to happen in this campaign and that.

-- changes his supporters are looking for in polling if they're going to happen they're gonna happen to fall.

I said this before even Reagan didn't beat Carter in July.

Right however that being said Romney has been sustaining any number of attacks mostly personal were based on his business record it's politics so everything -- -- everything is legitimate.

And I don't care what the attack as if it goes on -- it has a chance of sticking and finally I'd say that Romney is.

Always at his best when he's fighting back and he's aggressive it has.

Work for him whether he was fighting back against Newt Gingrich fighting back against Rick Santorum or right after he pretty much wrapped -- the primary and started fighting back against President Obama.

And so I think.

Appearances like yesterday swear to it a little.

Ideological right but the point is he was fighting explaining himself trying to bring the attack to the president if he's going to win I think that's the best -- Well as value like fighting Romney you would have -- -- he spoke to 88 cascade of boos to all the Bloomberg's.

Down at the NAACP in Houston and he actually Ron.

Seem to be enjoying it he kept like like yeah that's right you -- me I'm gonna come and give you my best we do you go ahead bring it.

-- -- and -- had to do it if he if he avoided the NAACP.

Speech it would have been really -- and I.

All because he is trying to unseat an African American president so it's a little less awkward that that he -- -- -- -- Going into the lines and sometimes it is the wise thing to do pictures you're not afraid.

To -- other groups that are are not necessarily doing ideologically aligned you and -- -- America's president if you're elected that your everyone's present either the same thing.

And now Pennsylvania and Philadelphia.

A couple of months ago worry where he visited a school that he would not normally necessarily.

-- have camp.

-- west West Philadelphia.

As David knows Mitt -- not going to carry west Philly that's not not falling -- into the red team that you're but but -- the point.

He seems to enjoy -- Romney seems to thrive on conflict he likes counter punching keys that that seems to be the environment he like.

Well he really needs is to.

Do a lot more of this you know that there about a campaign as far planting -- -- -- in terms of being capital and outsourcing.

In terms you know having.

Counts are you offshore accounts and we're always been largely focused on hammering president -- in the economy because he thinks that's his biggest weakness.

However people don't know who Romney.

People don't know -- -- right.

And so those seeds getting planet can start seeing the near death.

Without Ronnie getting involving car punching that area of concern to -- and that's why did you see him ramping -- discount.

But there's a thing.

And -- Brit Hume called it the Braveheart strategy for Romney.

Which is he doesn't necessarily want to be in the news all the time.

And as Carl Cameron reported yesterday David Ronnie can't or is he pointed out yesterday.

The Romney campaign doesn't they're raising a ton of money we can't spend again.

Because they have to wait until after he's actually the nominee is the way they do it is I'm sure you know is that you raise -- -- -- raise money for the primary and he read my for the general election.

Probably still technically in the primary Obama had months and months and months and months to raise money and he is now pouring it out in -- of fury on Romney's head.

But for -- is there's something -- to be said to keeping a lower profile now and then waiting to unleash hell.

Come.

September we'll look it's -- strategy could work but it's also a strategy -- carries risks that brought us right I agree with him if if he allows.

The Obama campaign to plant seeds of doubt.

They don't want answer they could sprouted a sort of permanent treason and carry the analogy of what I did it there's -- -- -- turns out.

I -- on the other hand and I think they're -- there's -- of I think this strategy is valid.

Most people are really tuned into the campaign yet heard they're -- -- tune in late summer convention time right after Labor Day -- go back to school we know the cliche.

And it's huge and -- it's a reason because it's true -- and that's when it's really going to matter itself.

If Ronnie starts spending all of his money now and he's has less of it than Barack Obama even if he could use it right he gets in the fall and in he.

Could be in trouble because Obama will still have money and -- so.

I think he has to do a little -- you cannot let the media narrative -- that he's an evil outsource or who wants to you know.

Crush people this was bank account on the other hand -- yes on the on the on the other hand I think in some ways it's from.

It's wise to just keep his powder dry.

Until one when people are actually paying attention and he has the resources to get this done there's one final caveat I'm sure they have the first early voting gates scheduled on their calendar is -- you.

And it's no longer just about convincing people on November 6 it's about convincing people.

At some point in late September October or whenever the first or early October whenever the first early voting.

Whenever the -- start to get mailed out because that's yeah that's your time -- in modern politics.

That's not a caveat that is an addendum or corollary but we will still we will still allow -- thank you.

The question rod is there's 52.

There's a fifty question people get sick of these people there's been Obama fatigue he's -- television all the time for voters like okay.

Enough of this guy I -- all the time but for Romney.

He would like to be a little he would like remains -- to voters he doesn't want -- every day if you get sick of hearing from him right.

-- -- that's actually -- people who know me around right I mean they were aware of who he is but they're not initially sure.

What he stands for or you know this -- -- so he's going to have totally -- Some type of you know biography introduction of himself at some point I think -- studio this is going to be curious stages we're gonna have those bio videos.

You know buys these the advertising introductions about who -- is the you know -- town hall meetings and it.

You know this is all going to happen in stages and launched.

Probably Iran probably in mid August and -- Mock tank says with getting -- from NAACP Romney will get on every show for the rest of the week saying I will -- repeal obamacare free media.

Like your counter programming idea -- tank.

Brady mode does point out we should stipulate that.

-- also got a standing O I believe when he was talking about reforming education and and help us.
