Jason has become a hometown hero even inspiring an Arizona company to develop technology that stops gas tanks in vehicles from exploding on impact.

-- -- technologies now being used in tens of thousands of police and emergency vehicles across the US.

As -- over 30000 military vehicles in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Military vehicles are designed only to resist the explosion from an attack or IED.

So when a convoys hit the gas -- -- the rupture and the troops inside get burned.

Same goes for some police cars but there are still over 300000 emergency vehicles on the road without the technology.

So Jason is currently lobbying cities across the country to get the fire panels.
