I thought you know if you want someone who's experienced qualified.
Impressive would be a kind of an interesting addition to the ticket.
What about Condi Rice I would say I think the odds are.
It's pretty good that she's being considered more seriously than people realize.
What would you know -- regard and that was only four days ago and now word is the former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice is not only on governor Mitt Romney's indeed.
The State's list she's on top of it for now.
And considering she's not the only bush cabinet official -- may -- the bush stigma is over.
To us how they -- on.
A list that he's actually room to be on himself but goodness.
Personal I don't think that there's really that big of the bush stigma going into this election because people want to defeat Barack Obama I think George W.
Bush if he were on the ticket.
Would win the election this year.
And he certainly would have the enthusiastic support of Republicans -- independents who when they play older and that he's able to map but.
People still blame bush for a lot of data and it's a lot of that is unfair I think George W.
Bush history will judge him far better.
Then they editorial -- in the hundreds -- and I think they're gonna look back far more favorably.
There are many things that George W.
Bush did that are quite admirably Condoleezza Rice is attached to one of the more controversial and that -- mileage.
And probably -- -- Iraq War the question -- -- on baggage you know we can argue about that but but but that still.
Controversies well that was in a gathering in Utah law that Mitt Romney had ran out of his finance people in this financial bombers were there.
She was one of the speakers and apparently gave a rousing speech and was well received.
So people started giving the -- I've seen sort of the headlines but you know that happens every few days we have somebody else who's the buzz of the day.
I don't honestly think she is that seriously considering it.
She's been so adamant that she doesn't like politics she's a policy person not a political -- say that.
Right now they also did she really is really not that much a you know you've never -- -- out stumping for candidates running -- -- Canada's dollar is like all of you guys as a -- on a convenient if you're you're asked of for your country well -- right I think if Ronnie asked her she would probably say yes because again it would be a matter duty.
Doing taking one for the team and so -- Now having said that I think Romney would have a real problem because of her weakness on the issues.
Such as sanctity of life ran she's really never taken to -- -- raise that would Greta that rednecks could be an issue even -- it's -- wouldn't could be it would be when he was so you'd think it'd be conservatives would have a serious -- -- -- their hands.
-- absolutely they would you bet they would because.
Romney has promised that he will have a pro life vice president that was -- promise that he made during the campaign.
Because it was expressly asked -- anything less than I think you're gonna see a lot.
It was sort of reaffirm for them their doubts about exactly did he is today it it would be a disaster.
-- Portman was on that list is senator Bob Morton and also a former budget director for the president trade rep.
So that's of this -- -- -- it's -- -- -- right what more do we wouldn't -- better part of our beat.
Look you you -- that did that did did the -- thing is unfair and history might doesn't yeah Europe but not now.
Well here's the thing Rob Portman is qualified in every respect he's -- United States senator trade represented -- He -- certainly been you know inside the White House understands how things work is the budget director.
I don't think that there's an issue and and the fact at least stood on his on on so many other platforms.
But again I don't see that if a person was let's say a cabinet member under bush -- was a close friend but I just don't see that as a problem.
Because ultimately if that person can go out and rally Republicans.
And to bring people to the -- You they don't have to router problems in the name of the rallying issue is the president and and maybe that was behind the hole NAACP stating that.
You know Romney goes before them and and conservatives look at him getting booed and and are emboldened by that.
Well I don't buy policies ridiculously absurd argument I think she stuck her face and Barney punches weddings punch -- too long.
To come up with a nutty idea that he did it on purpose that he wanted to get -- nobody wants to go.
And get -- anywhere you just don't want that you'd you'd ever although the governor decided units up from that he it.
Expected that would probably happen but but he didn't tell you don't -- soccer Israel I don't think he was saying I want -- while they booming.
But you know he he understood that the reception probably was going to be thirty degrees cooler than that that Biden got the next day I don't think there was any doubt.
To his credit I thought -- gave the speech of his life I thought he was bold.
He did what I've always said and as a person who got.
Almost 50% of the African American vote in my state.
Always said to Republicans quit making a different message when you speak to an African American audience keep your message the same they care about the same things you do.
And and what I appreciated was he kept his message.
Pure.
He went and told the same thing he did so nobody can say was pandering and long term what I believe he did was he showed he said I showed up.
I came -- was not afraid to come to you I know you may not care for me but -- care for you.
That is a powerful message not just the people sitting an -- -- -- the -- will be on the 95 -- 96% and have to move it.
Twenty -- -- it only has to move it for five.
And and -- you did I I think he might have here's the point building relationships is what it's about in one event won't do it.
But consistently taking that stand and showing up at the places where people don't think you have the courage to show up that will move the needle.
And I think Mitt Romney made a brilliant decision gave a fantastic speech and even handled.
The opposition to it.
With statesmanship it was brilliant I thought it was one of his finest moments interest.
Government or supplies under the Syria and every evening captured this weekend.
