Chief political correspondent Carl Cameron talk with the governor a short time ago.
Mitt Romney says the president is falsely accusing him of outsourcing American jobs at Bain Capital to deliberately stifle -- debate over jobs in the economy.
It's a very a disappointing thing I think the American people -- candidates say this this is politics a lot worse than usual.
And and they expected more from this president he was the one that talked about a post partisan presidency.
Changing the way politics -- changed the way Washington worked.
And I think people assume you make it better.
But instead with the kinds of attacks he's been -- over the last several weeks he's been making -- worse and people recognize that and they want to know who can get America working again.
A top Obama -- yesterday accused Romney of either committing a felony by signing documents indicating he remained CEO of Bain Capital until 2002.

It's ridiculous and of course it's beneath the dignity of the presidency.
And have his campaign.
He really needs to rein in his team and finally take responsibility for what they're saying that this is really absurd.
But you know I I think this is showing a pattern you you just had very bad news on the economic front.
With now 41 straight months with unemployment above 8%.
And what does the president do he -- he says he's gonna.
Raise taxes on people.
He's trying to got welfare reform as we know what and he launches attacks of this nature it's.
Well it's it's beneath the dignity of his office.
Romney used to say the president just doesn't get the economy but he is a nice guy he's training that tough test for the -- generous comment.
Look there are a lot of people this country that are really hurt.
And the presidency has been unsuccessful in getting people back to work and so they're casting about it some way to try to make attacks and tried.
Save the president -- -- say this campaign.
That's simply not gonna work he's gonna have to finally confront the American people with the failures of his policies and talk about the way forward you know he called me when I.
Came close dissension the Republican nomination congratulated me and -- and said we're gonna have an important.
Debate.
A meaningful debate about the future of the country I'm waiting for that to start.
Always seen so far from his campaign has been one attack after the other no effort to -- talk about the real issues people care about.
Explaining his tactics to CBS this morning the president again proclaimed Romney and outsource or an addressed him directly.
My job -- think about communities where jobs have been outsourced and so there it is not that it he is disqualified because what he's done I want.
-- make sure that.
We know what -- -- -- about how to grow the economy and and that is a question that I think most Americans want to know as well.
A top Romney surrogate -- a tough shot across the president's bow last night and president Obama's first real big revenue.
Where -- real estate deals that had odd coincidences in time and space with a Fallon.
-- -- -- There's a president whose political training was -- -- -- cheek with politicians like convicted felons like -- Rod Blagojevich.
And this president is dumb enough to introduce the concept of -- Into the discourse.
With a guy is clean as Mitt Romney a new Romney ad slams the president for using the tactics he condemned constantly as a candidate in the past.
Don't have a crush its.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Democrats want -- to release multiple years of back tax returns he's already latest when he ten returns public.
And says when last years for which he's already sought an extension or actually complete.
That will be it.
What's it is there available why they'll be filed an ad that people have a couple of years and tax returns that's that's planning.
The president Virginia today mocked Romney has not serious about deficit reduction because he wants to make all the bush era tax cuts permanent.
Romney returned to the disdain for.
-- -- For the president to talk about someone who's not serious about deficit reduction April -- look at the -- because.
That this president has raised the deficit and raise the debt for this country is a matter of fact.
The amount of public debt he's put in place is almost as much as all the prior presidents combined.
-- he's been outspent two to one of the TV ad war in some battleground states and has slipped in the polls.
They'd say Romney's ad spending is revving up dramatically and they'll soon be on the air as much if not more than the president.
-- -- the weekend in New Hampshire tried to get a little more information about his talks about a vice president perhaps a timetable for the announcement didn't effort Barbara.
Yeah I'm -- on that front.
Condoleezza Rice appeared to make a splash in this whole.
Race to will be VP at least in the on the blogs and on the Internet what what we know about Romney's.
Potential VP -- well she has said that she's not interested in the job and I did ask mr.
Romney if he reaffirmed his statement in February of this year.
That he will not pick a pro choice running mate but -- -- -- pro life running mate.
And his comment was he stands by his earlier comments.
Which for all intents and purposes would remove Condoleezza Rice from the list -- -- 2006 called herself mildly pro choice for a OK Carl thank you just one follow up note to all of this we did offer time on the show to the president's campaign today they declined for now but said.
They'll come on soon as Carl Cameron --
