Five point 6%.

Is that president Obama's favorite number.

What is he unemployment rate in the state of Virginia and now that's well below the national average of eight point 2%.

So President Obama get the credit for Virginia's success -- does he deserve -- Virginia governor Bob McDonnell joins us good evening governor.

My brother nice to -- on thanks.

Governor -- -- -- unemployment -- him and Virginia five point 6% the envy of many other states how do we know whether or not the president should get credit for with his stimulus bill.

Or whether you should get credit for -- legislature or something else.

Quote success as a thousand fathers -- -- is an orphan you know that -- -- Greta.

Let me say a couple of things one -- we're glad to be down to five point 6% since I've become governor down from about seven point.

For -- with a bipartisan accomplishment the general assembly and -- I think war gonna gather.

But I would say if the president's stimulus up policies and all the other things coming out of watching her work and you'd -- is doing a lot better nationally but we're not we're over eight point 1% now.

For 41 consecutive months.

That's not acceptable for the American people so all five point 6% as good.

If we had a president Mitt Romney I'd say we be doing a lot better Virginia because the president's policies on debt.

On deficit on regulation on the energy industry.

Have been -- harmful to the Virginia economy and so we're fighting upstream against Washington and these policies -- -- be doing better with Mitt Romney.

Are but how do you how do you sell that has governor Romney sell that to the voters of Virginia in November.

If you -- Virginia and you see that you're doing so much better and unemployment.

Then the rest of the country.

And you and you look at -- -- look at those numbers you think get well.

President Obama's program works here because set.

We know it was as high as over 7% as you said although I will note that one present a bomb but took office is that five point 8%.

And now point two ticks down but well below the national average.

Well of course that his first year went from -- from five point eight up to seven point four which is what.

What I inherited let me -- a couple days -- Greta you know CNBC just came out whether it's business ratings a couple days ago.

Twelve out of the fifteen states.

With the most friendly approach to business had Republican.

Governors and so I would say there's something that Republican governors are doing in their states.

That are making a difference in terms -- friendly tax and regulatory.

And right to work laws and great programs for -- -- universities and most importantly a very positive can do approach to business this president.

His demonizing wall Wall Street and business and undermining entrepreneurship then -- over regulation of the energy industry by this EPA.

-- six have been harmful to business so I think president governor Romney would say.

There's still two -- 50000 people about work in Virginia.

If you elect me -- -- -- what Republican governors are doing and will be able to knock that unemployment rate down even more because we understand the I have to have.

More support for the entrepreneur or if you're gonna have a greater access to the American dream.

I used term demonize and as soon they you Delaware that's the fight that's been going on between the candidates recently.

And your thought whether or not -- it is -- and fair game politically for.

President Romney to expand president any President Obama to explore governor Romney's.

-- his work at Bain Capital.

Sure -- -- -- talk about everybody's record especially the president's but.

Listen governor Romney did a great job as governor of Massachusetts cutting debts and deficits and going from fiftieth or thirtieth -- job creation but -- Bain Capital.

You know an American system a free enterprise you have the -- the ability to succeed or fail have a liberty.

You know -- -- venture capital you do a little bit above.

But during his time as chairman of -- he went up to yet about a 120000.

New jobs that were -- What's absolutely wrong about what President Obama is doing is he's using information.

After governor Romney left as chairman of Bain and went to run the Olympics things that happen in 2002001.

And after I say that's -- uphold those irresponsible lads.

Because like dead at places that -- Obama did today.

Green run in Virginia and Glen Allen of Virginia I -- those places for twenty years.

You what their interest and and their audits are sitting Bain Capital port tax returns directors did end.

Taxes and jobs and getting the greatest country on -- out of debt and back to work.

And this president has failed on that and that's why I think we're gonna elect Mitt Romney in Virginia.

-- governor Romney released those tax returns.

And does his visit his reluctance to -- and the fact that he has -- -- those -- and does -- not -- cast today and mysteries -- -- back and it's filled with all sorts of suspicion like what's he -- because -- won't release them.

No Greta -- -- -- -- more returns and he's obligated to do bylaw and you know we saw those -- but that's.

Yet incredibly -- That's you know I get he has done nothing unlawful when -- I mean and nothing unlawful as we -- -- but -- up politics isn't really about what's lawful what's not is oftentimes a little bit about perception.

-- went went went politicians are constituents make demands for documents and someone.

Doesn't maybe an unfair suspicion but people get suspicious so question -- -- the ones he hasn't.

Well no because what -- that's like that's up to Mitt Romney what he wants to do -- comply with the law he wants to do more that's fine with me.

I get a tax returns to the people of Virginia interest and and it's their own tax returns with President Obama raising taxes 500 million dollars through they obamacare plan.

And through his plan now to raise taxes on.

Everybody that makes 250000 dollars which is every small business in America about a million small businesses.

That's a tax return the people of Virginia wanna I wanna hear about the president about that several -- about three years ago -- -- if you don't have a good record to run on.

Did you basically play small ball and you -- to scare people and that's what this campaign's all about all the hope and change runner Greta.

From 2008 it's now it's about fear and division.

And that is not the kind of leadership we need -- America so if if if Mitt Romney wants -- really so that's fine but the issues in this race.

Are getting us out of this sixteen trillion dollar crushing -- that -- Obama's racked up another five trillion of debt.

And getting our country back to work eight point 1%.

Unemployment unacceptable Mitt Romney can do a lot better.

All right and I know that I'm dead now part of the silly game about -- was the next vice presidential candidates and another were pounding.

All the possible people and -- -- but I can't help myself can you give me assert tip are you -- invent enemy every interest.

-- listen I'm I'm over talking about that there's only one list that matters it's Mitt Romney I'm chairman of the Republican Governors Association.

I'm trying to elect twelve Republican governors and helped to win now Virginia for Mitt Romney because I believe if we're gonna have the great country -- America.

The American story continue to be alive and -- we need a new president's -- that's completely up to somebody else I'm having fun just campaigner for Mitt Romney here Virginia.

I like could resist asking and I and I realize it's silly and I respect our right and yeah I.

I'm not that could happen -- I've obviously gives gets contagious yet what keeps asking of reverend Deborah thank you --
