When Mitt Romney asked for an apology after the president's campaign team called him perhaps -- -- democrats' response.

Stop -- governor Romney.

So what's the governor's response he joins us live from.

New Hampshire thank you for joining us governor so when you hear pres Obama's former chief of staff say to you -- -- stop whining.

What he -- back to him.

What I think good people accused of a crime.

You have every reason to go after the pretty hard and I'm gonna continue going after him.

I'm very proud of the record that I had in my business career.

Helping turn around the Olympics and as the governor of the state of Massachusetts but what is -- state say about a president.

Whose record is so poor that all they can do in this campaign is attacked me I think it's finally time for us to talk about his record.

The kind of failure he's had a -- able to create jobs to get rising incomes again this is a time when the people of America wanna know who can make things better.

And the president's policies have made it harder for the American people to find work and they have a brighter future and that's -- this campaign's about.

-- some people find it ironic governor because they accuse -- president apologizing for nations all the time but he has also said now that he won't apologize to you.

For apparently calling you a possible talent he did an interview with a local station in Virginia here's what he said.

We will not apologize.

Mr.

Romney claims he's mr.

fix it for the economy because of his business experience.

So I think voters entirely legitimately want to know what is exactly his business experience.

So mr.

fix it -- -- What would -- say -- -- to the president.

You know I I'd say the president wouldn't it be interesting Mr.

President if you spent some time looking at your record.

If you spent some time looking at what you've done over the last three and a half to four years they're 23 million people that are out of work and stop looking for work.

Median income has dropped by 10% over the last four years Mr.

President this is about the United States of America and my record is pretty clear to see.

I helped turn around a business started another one.

Turned around the Olympics with the help of a lot of great people letter states got our unemployment rate in my state down to four point 7%.

I got a pretty solid record.

Let's look at your record Mr.

President and the American people I think I don't have to try and convince them about his record.

The American people know -- things are better now -- they were four years ago I think we all know that answer this president.

He he he just hasn't been able to do the job he told us he was gonna try and do.

When you were your campus on the defense for the end of last week you -- about Aaliyah allegations but now -- on the offensive.

And your your.

I -- in the Washington Post this morning that your you wanna draw attention to Obama's political payoffs.

Vs the middle class layoffs.

Where you say that you know if you're a donor to the Obama camp you're gonna do just fine however if -- in the middle class -- your camp says.

You gotta worry about your job.

Well there's no question but that win billions upon billions of dollars.

Are given by the Obama administration.

To the business is -- campaign contributors.

That's a real problem.

Particularly at a time in the middle class is really suffering in this country.

I don't know whether you watched over the weekend -- report that was in the the New York Times about families really struggling particularly those that are that single parents.

They're just having a hard time making ends meet this is a tough time for the people of America.

But if your campaign contributor to Barack Obama your business may stand to make.

Get billions of dollars or hundreds of millions of dollars in cash from the government.

I think it's wrong I think it stinks to high heaven.

And I think the administration has to explain how it is they would consider giving money to campaign contributors businesses.

But what about campaign strategy -- governor because obviously the Obama campaign has had a long time to set up their assault on you.

Even when we would interview Debbie Wasserman Schultz months ago when they -- still five Republicans in the primary she would always focused on view.

So they pretty much knew that you -- gonna be the candidate or at least maybe they hoped for that because they have this long line of assaults ready to go.

Some people have said that they want you to fight back to be on the offensive instead of always on the defense -- respond.

Well that's the best offense -- to look at the president's record I mean I really think the American people are gonna tire and probably have already tired.

Of all the attacks.

And and misdirected as they are one after the other and their attacks has been shown by independent fact checkers to be dishonest and false.

-- a campaign based on false and and dishonesty does not have long legs.

In my opinion the issue people care about is who can get the American economy going again.

To help people have a brighter future with rising wages and more capacity to care for their kids.

And and I know that their kids -- good good jobs when they come out of school that that's what this campaign is about.

I've laid -- a number of ideas to do that.

-- the plan I called my jobs recovery plan to get America working again the president on the other hand has only one thing going and that is constant attacks on me and you know they're dishonest they're misdirected and I think the American people recognize that kind of politics is something of the past it -- work in Chicago but it's not gonna work across America.

Governor there's a lot a lot of people -- making a lot of why you won't return release more of your tax return you released 2010 you said 2011 is on its way.

But why -- more Bill Kristol.

Had this to say.

You have to defend it he can't hit this is what he did for most of us about life he is proud of what he did.

Here's what he should do he should release the tax returns tomorrow is crazy you gotta release 6810 years of back taxpayers take the hit for -- to.

They get a serious speech on Thursday in which he says.

Okay we've had this ridiculous -- debate that went and I took relief from beta when I didn't and you can look now look -- tax returns.

-- some would say that be a good way to go on offense what about it.

You know.

John McCain ran for president and released two years -- tax returns John Kerry ran for president you know his wife who has hundreds of millions of dollars.

She never released her tax returns somehow this was an issue.

The Obama people keep on wanting more more more more things to pick through more things for -- opposition research to try and make a mountain out of and to distort.

And to be dishonest about.

We're gonna put out two years attacks and terrorism put out one already soon -- the most recent years complete.

We'll put that out.

It's hundreds of pages of documents about the way.

None of those tax returns are required by law to be put out.

What is required by law the financial disclosure has already been made.

And -- let's just stop for a moment if we wanna talk about transparency.

The real issue is why has this president.

Used his presidential power and executive privilege to keep the information about the fast and furious program from being explain to the American people.

That this is not -- personal matter that this is this is the action of his administration.

This is that an administration which is shown a a very serious a departure from that but for the transparency -- which they suggest that we have -- I think the American people should be calling for for that -- transparency.

Governor Mitt Romney today joining us from New Hampshire thank you for the ten minutes with a --
