Media are getting a lot of mileage these days from campaign attacks blasting governor Romney's career at Bain Capital.

President Obama is defending the latest attack ads targeting governor Romney.

Was.

First of all we've done all whole slew of positive ads that talk exactly about.

How we need to change our education system how we need to change our tax code how we need to rebuild America.

How we need to promote American energy so those just don't get attention in the news.

This morning governor Romney slammed the Obama campaign for dishonesty.

The best offenses to look at the president's record I mean I really think the American people are gonna tire and probably have already tired.

Of all the attacks.

And and misdirected as they are one after the other and their attacks has been shown by independent fact checkers to be dishonest and false.

-- a campaign based on false -- and dishonesty does not have long legs joining us on today's news watch panel Ellen Ratner.

Washington bureau chief of the talk radio news service.

Jim Pinkerton is a contributing editor and writer for the American conservative magazine.

Both are Fox News contributors.

-- -- the president says we've been doing positive -- everything I read is that the overwhelming number of his ads against Mitt Romney specifically.

Have been negative.

Well positive ads really don't sell but you know it depends whether a beauties in the eyes of the -- -- I consider going after.

Governor Romney's tax records his tax shelters.

To be a positive things so I'm sure Jim doesn't.

Jim -- what about it.

Look -- let me let me read you this headline from the Washington Post today Jim.

It it -- -- Romney tries to regain momentum with new focus on Obama's political payoffs.

And in the first line of this report reads trying to shift to the presidential campaign narrative.

Away from his personal finances and -- Bain Capital Republican Mitt Romney will launch a fresh assault this week.

Accusing President Obama of political cronyism at the expense of middle class workers.

The momentum of and the focus that that is all determined by the media is -- Exactly that's the point rather have -- of the planet assumption and in what governor Romney said on fox from this morning was that it got this this -- not through me that of their for the media won't eventually.

-- eventually realizes not drink and won't cover that way.

I wish that -- the case I wish that that that -- bogus tax would be revealed by the media to be bogus tax however.

As we've seen the last week or so.

The mainstream media are actively trumpeting.

All this tax what they're ignoring of course is.

At the very moment they're demanding that governor Romney disclose this fact turns and Bain Capital -- all this stuff they're ignoring the fast and furious executive privilege.

Which is to me that they're ignoring their activities of a -- EPA they're ignoring the activities.

Of the small arms treaty I would just it would have been -- going to draw America but from -- from afar I mean they're ignoring either ignoring the fact.

That that this is that.

That that that they hit the hill newspaper this morning reports that the Treasury Department.

I was using prostitutes as part of his its its defense plan but -- those Robbie big issues immediate change in about it tarnished the.

Well obviously the media will get on the prostitute fame -- sex sells Jim.

But the question I have is why isn't the media at down in the Cayman Islands why hasn't the media really followed.

Where.

The governor Romney's -- counts are.

-- -- they've talked about it they talked about the fact that he's offshore accounts but nobody is really done my homework to show where they are in an -- what he hole.

CNN in a nation that has eight point 2% unemployment Allen and if the labor participation rate were the same as it was when President Obama took office we'd have 11% unemployment.

Do you really think that's the issue that -- Well I think that you have to be able to have somebody who your body -- for for president you're living on for the next four years and it has to do with the trust factor.

And if governor Romney is not being clear about his Texas that has to do with the trust factor and is up to the news media.

To follow along with what really happened in health care in Massachusetts and what's really happening with -- offshore accounts so neither is being done.

All right Jim on -- -- score though the president promised us that we -- or the president's people promised us that if we pass the stimulus we'd have five point 6% unemployment so.

Who should we trust.

Well and also -- is that that John at the mere accident digging up things -- dig up Obama's college transcripts -- to dig up his entire life story before the age of say you know.

35 years old none -- that was enters into them.

Like I think this is at it and there's other stories and I just clicking around think about the segment.

I'm investor's business daily report back in January.

In January.

That 36 White House aides owe the IRS a total of 833000.

Dollars in unpaid taxes.

You think that would be a big story that you can imagine if George W.

Bush had 36 tax stop laws on his payroll these what do think that CBS news be talking about.

On the morning with what.

The channel there -- an offense that news media is very prejudiced.

Towards the Obama administration and I think the news media is just plain lazy on both fronts actually.

Well -- will leave it there Ellen Ratner Jim Pinkerton thank you both.

-- -- -- more of our terrific battle all the hosting his watch Saturday each and every Saturday 2:30 PM eastern time.
