Hi everyone I'm meteorologist -- -- now from the fox inching weather center with your forecast for the northeast.

And it is going to be a scorcher today across our region we're talking about temperatures anywhere from five to ten degrees above what's typical.

For this time of the year and it's -- in -- very humid days so a lot of these temperatures will actually feel.

Even hotter so expect to see widespread -- index values.

Into the upper ninety's and also triple digits for many across northeast of stay -- everyone stay hydrated and keep in mind again that it's -- be a very hot day out there 99 will be a high temperature in the city of Syracuse 98.

In Philadelphia and over in DC we're expecting to see temperatures into the triple digits.

As we head into this afternoon with a high temperature at a 101 degrees.

As we head into tomorrow's going to be another warm day toward the coast like in DC -- -- expecting a hundred degree day.

96 will be a high in New York City in over in Philadelphia were expecting a high at 98 degrees.

But notice across portions of upstate New York an -- New England -- back down into the eighties we actually have a frontal boundary that will be -- -- we're bringing in some slightly cooler air.

To bring down our temperatures and more typical levels for this -- -- here.

And that system today will already be bringing in some showers and storms across portions of New England you can see some of -- already moving into portions of Vermont.

And also across the state of Maine and we actually could see some severe weather from some of those thunderstorms especially later on in the afternoon.

And evening hours with large sized hail and damaging wind that's been the main concerns.

As an isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out either.

By Wednesday morning we'll see some scattered showers across Pennsylvania parts of upstate new York and also -- Massachusetts.

Some heavier storms will be possible as well as he -- in -- later in the day on Wednesday.

And by Thursday cooler and drier air behind that says -- will start to move into the northeast.

And get ready for an absolutely beautiful weekend and temperatures -- will be very 'cause in the seventy's an eighty's across.
