So guess it was back on Capitol Hill former Vice President Dick Cheney.

I remember now we've once served as secretary of defense in Washington and on Tuesday.

He raised the alarm on massive looming cuts that the defense budget saying it will put national security at risk.

Spoke obviously.

Very much on behalf of maintaining the nation's defenses.

And obviously I think that capability certain by the prospect of sequester.

We -- Avoid that I'd like to see the administration more aggressive than that and they hadn't done anything today.

Leon -- -- side here.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Basically that any defense cuts need to be strategic bill and not budget driven and the former vice president says that since the Pentagon has already agreed to cut.

More than half a trillion dollars in the sequester essentially doubles that these cuts.

Aren't strategic Cheney says -- -- crazy and his message was heard loud and clear by Republicans on the hill.

He.

We're.

Caution and head.

Nation we need to be very very careful about.

Mission readiness if this sequestration happens and he was very clear.

And compelling for -- -- able to tell us you know talking about the people that are around the world that are heading up these other countries and -- our losses influence.

And someone else was in the meeting with the former vice president told us that one of its final points with that the world works when the United States is providing leadership politically.

Militarily and economically.

You know Peter do Democrats disagree with any of that.

Bill some Democrats don't believe Dick Cheney's visit to the hill was motivated by his love of country and the senate majority leader Harry Reid said that Cheney.

Used to work for Halliburton and energy company Halliburton did well while use BP so -- wants the military to be strong.

To protect their interests abroad and something else Reid said is that it's time to stop ignoring the other half of these automatic cuts to happen.

That would take away money from programs here at -- Press friends here tend to focus has sequester is a one sided.

Vehicle that -- only dealt with.

Defense that's not true you always fail to mention that there's big cuts there for domestic programs also.

And two million jobs might be lost over ten years if this one point two trillion dollar sequestration cakes and that's according to a new report.

Commissioned by the Aerospace Industries Association.

Got -- Peter thank you Peter -- watching that story from Washington thank you Peter.
