I you may have already rocked out with our next guest on the road he's been touring keyboardist for harassment for fifteen years he's also a singer songwriter and -- -- there.
And now rest are wing is -- out his second solo album called get me home.
That -- in spotlight his own style of modern piano in blues while featuring cameos from his famous rocker friends like Steven Tyler.
Russ is here to tell us all about the album the new announcements are.
And how he's even made some appearances on your TV in the real housewives of New York.
Well done thank you hasn't gone good Ariel -- to tell me -- -- -- -- how -- all without and it is kind of a different style than your other day job.
Yes bit different you know it's a it's a piano player singer songwriter record.
They can't -- really organically and I just really was going to studio to work with some.
Some friends and some people that I really want to work with -- We colors and go rhetorical -- -- -- and we knew how to win a hole record and I really love it.
And it's her -- -- and since 1981 Paterno widely.
And you know a lot of reasons it was just timing really just life.
Took its course and the next thing I knew I was playing with harassment and -- was -- man for awhile and producing other artists.
And you know I just got busy doing other things and like I said I wasn't really planning on having this happens and -- happen.
And -- the songwriter of course as I mentioned so what stories are you telling you know there's an -- tear your home and say let me Manhattan here.
I'm from here I grew up here I love Manhattan I've been traveling for the last fifteen years really intensely.
And zone and when I went to go studies recording sessions I was just trying to think of you know ideas of things I want to write about I was on the plane flying -- and I just.
Still you know started right in the -- Manhattan.
And.
That I -- that you wrote that on a plane what's the strangest -- are the most than usual place you've written a song like you've just been inspired and started writing I would probably be one of them I -- -- and then I was pretty unique.
-- I didn't save it what did you write it on.
It's my -- -- might have the notes somewhere in snow really -- you're tight -- eroded Allie Michael and how it's not okay that is solid ideas on.
And we saw a little bit of video before I know we can just roll it talk over it but it has been very interesting costar who's going to be co -- of this video of.

Journalists and a dear friend of mine and we've you know.
Dated on and off for a while and we're super close friends and you know.
You know if you love the song and she lives here and you know we both love Manhattan very much.

Eighth and you've been on real housewives of me or have come -- -- her as I mentioned to.
Who has -- what do you learned about the business of reality TV from your experience not a real housewives.
I don't have learned anything but -- -- it that it says is hanging in kind of interesting and fun to watch of the people do -- -- I'm you know.
I just have been glimpsed into it by just being a part of it for very very short time but -- -- but it -- -- and very entertaining.
Have you learned in new meaning of the word drama.
Absolutely and a half.
I think things who think I'm okay so we have -- -- in the video and your friends in the studio let's talk about them friends that you got into -- studio.
Are moving on without them.
You know and again it was just an interesting thing you know I was in the middle of making the record I was just playing.
The rough demos were friends you know like Steven Tyler my from Chris -- and just you know get feedback from people who are really trusted and who think you know respected and and -- was like that's -- focusing on that one.
I was like oh okay yes sir no problem.
And I came in me saying on a couple of tunes and then next thing I knew Chris -- in studio and you know.
And -- actually live in the same area I'll know when you are places in in.
You know Los Angeles and long canyon and seamlessly run around -- Christmas just -- -- So now we all got to meet Steven Tyler get to know I'm a little bit better on America night all right listen OK and he is fine catch phrases and things that just happens and got enough.
-- like -- time.
-- -- he's he's you know he's very very unique personable guy incredibly.
Positive and fun to be around he's he's pretty amazing very.
Special human being there.
And we mentioned he was leaving the show he talked about the tore through the global warming tour that there -- -- -- you will be -- start yeah I -- were on tour right now hang out and I wrote -- on their next record that'll be one of the singles in the next few months I think that was my next question what's the -- we can look out or not it's called what could have been love.
Yeah and wrote a few years ago and -- yeah we're really looking towards that coming out sounds great.
What's your favorite you know there's did either solo line or -- play -- -- The united I didn't answer questions and Tanzania I I always say that you're playing dream on is is really really special for me it never gets old.
I mean I learned that was one of the persons ever learn to -- -- piano nosed kid -- probably nine and I happen and so every time we play I never.
They're tired -- -- and I love I love that moment in the show.
He your first show with them was it nerve racking I do this all well it was it was.
-- lot of anxiety sounds kind of very nervous you know.
Never played in front of that many people before and yeah I was I was 29.

Easily what do you prefer to be planning.
Well yeah I'm a multi instrumentalists -- piano -- my minister investment guitar drums and bass and -- -- -- -- on to a wheel backgrounds for harassment and and for -- as well.
But I tell me there's actually -- very very.
Real connection between all those artists because they all come from classic rock you know it's -- there you know.
And I've kind of found my niche with with people who who -- from that from that Aaron you know.
Yes it -- to have.
And Kara Kennedy taking some time here on solo tour dates very your own album now I think certainly yes it's on the there really -- an -- that.
