Olympics opening ceremony just three days away now and today officials in Britain are taking new steps to ramp up security and -- BWAY.

The British government called up some 12100 more troops to patrol Olympic venues those personnel were originally on stand by.

This comes after a private security company reportedly failed to provide enough guards.

That means 181000.

Plus British military members and will help secure the Olympic Games.

For some context that's nearly twice the number of British troops serving in Afghanistan right now.
