Additionally student groups and universities across the country are now seeing others petition to have the popular restaurant removed from their campuses.

Joining us now from Burlington Vermont is -- -- and he's the executive director of truth win without a gay rights group.

This is really blown up into a big story and Dan -- the president chick -- -- run chick -- for a number of years.

Came out and did an interview with at this Baptist publications that basically guilty as charged.

These are my views you know make him one on that if we don't open on Sundays where family restaurant if that's what we believe.

One of the groups they gave money to the family research council said it's the government's moral duty to legislate morality.

And now there are complaining if they did -- morality is being legislated away they don't like unbelievable.

And I think a lot of people are an incredibly offended not only did he say he's opposed to marriage but he said it would invite.

God's wrath upon this nation what percent due to young.

Gay and lesbian children who -- this they're growing up and they're hearing these horrible things that are said well people have a right to be really angry and not want to -- they're greasy chicken well.

And she spent her statement and the Chicago sun times was that she hires and serves -- with honor dignity and respect.

And she invited Rahm Emanuel to come and discuss the controversy not created by the president of chick filet.

Because he disagrees with my position on foreign policy -- my position on -- pro life issues not gonna do that.

The right to do that but it really has it I think and ostracized in effect on folks for political views on both sides that's my consent.

And that's because -- people like Dan Cathy who have turned his chicken shop into a political house.

Pretty amazing company I mean it whether you agree with his views on that as the way the company has been Iran seems to be by all accounts quite exemplary.

Well we we don't know that I think would be incredibly comfortable the work there as a gay person.

I would believe that I wouldn't be able to go very far in that company so I -- -- -- and that president and LA law prohibits you don't have any evidence to to suggest that right.

Well I certainly haven't seen any openly gay people come forward who work there -- high level the company itself better and that's something I haven't seen what -- cellular going to let let let.

Let's play this out -- let's go beyond the chicken controversy getting -- people Arnie can't think they have a Rahm Emanuel fullback Michael Bloomberg said it's not the way to go out.

That they aren't really supposed to be part of public life unless they agree with you Wayne or other organizations on a whole host of issues.

Are they supposed to retreat from public life.
