Back there at it again Eric Holder -- the -- of justice targeting this time Pennsylvania for requiring voters to present idea at the polls our next guest.

That's a big deal Pennsylvania pass a law that is even more voter friendly.

Then the law that the Supreme Court upheld an Indiana.

But this Justice Department isn't -- keystone state shakes down where they're asking for all sorts of documents including.

The documents -- the governor Tom Corbett relied on just to write a press -- that's how outrageous this request is.

And hopefully Pennsylvania we'll have the sense not to reply -- let's say wanna be soon.

You know it's not talked about enough that decision the Supreme Court decision that upheld.

Indiana's right to do a similar thing it's a good point you make why in your opinion since you've worked at the DOJ are they so intent on going after the states.

The try something that seems so elementary when you talk to young people in this country -- -- that have an idea of vote it seems so basic.

To most Americans -- the DOJ so concerned.

Wells purely partisan how to I know that because within 24 hours after the Justice Department issued that letter.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee the DCCC.

Sent out a fundraising letter thanking the justice department for doing that and asking for money.

Look may have a demoralized base in Philadelphia.

This Justice Department hasn't brought a single case except the one I did early in the administration.

To help minority voters under the voting rights act section two.

So there's a lot of simmering discontent among civil rights groups this is a -- to gin up their base a base that badly needs ginned up.

Pilots moved from what the DOJ is pursuing to what they're not not going after.

The folks at MF global specifically Jon Corzine who lost one point six billion dollars of investors' money they have spent an awful lot of time.

Going after Jamie Dimon and others who still may billions for their customers.

And what we learned this past week is there is some cozy relationship some past working relationship between Corzine.

And between Eric Holder his former law firm.

Once represented.

Corzine is that relationship in your opinion the reason why there's been no yet investigation into what happened with -- -- Well it could be one of the reasons but it's a reason why they need to have a special prosecutor.

This is the intersection of big government with big law.

Covington and Merling is the law firm where colder came from it's it's not only Eric Holder it's a lot of people in the DOJ it's Laney brewer.

Who's the assistant attorney general for for the criminal division who would be prosecuting Corzine's they all came from Covington number line.

And so it raises some serious questions there's a see no evil approach in this Justice Department toward Wall Street crime and maybe that's because Wall Street donated so much money.

And it's not just that it's that Corzine was also mentioned as potential.

Our Treasury Secretary so there is a -- definitely a conflict of interest and isn't it standard practice.

-- from your experience that when there has an apparent conflict of interest.

Doesn't the DOJ in that situation usually step out and appoint an outside inspector.

Well there should be an outside inspector because if you simply -- build a wall of separation between.

Brewer and holder and all the other Covington -- -- Then that really doesn't get the job done because there -- -- there.

Downstream people know these are Covington people who are my boss so that's why you have to have a special prosecutor.

-- one point six billion dollars just vanished on Corzine's watch a big Democrat.

Why won't DOJ do anything about it.

Yeah there's bound to be conflicts of interest with the folks in DC which you have to have some sort of standard practice when those arise.
