It now with Republican congressman Jason -- fits of you talk he joins us now to talk about the speech that trip and much more congressman thanks for your time today.

-- -- -- right I did -- Robert Gibbs who was Press Secretary to White House for sometime now senior advisors the Obama campaign.

You know when a call to reporters before this Romney trip really laid out some guidelines -- that.

We need to see what -- -- foreign policy is we need to see how he -- if he does at all from the current administration with respect Israel the pressure is on him.

Two draw some bright minds out there but Romney has repeatedly said when I am -- overseas when -- a foreign trip I'm not gonna criticized US policy.

How does he walk that fine line do you think he did it in this speech.

Well it as we just saw governor Romney -- figure is a very presidential.

He was your crystal clear to our -- and the rest of the world.

That the United States stands clearly with Israel there's there is no doubt for the world.

That we will stand behind our friends in Israel and that we cannot and should not.

Allow the Iranians to have the nuclear capability that is detrimental to the world and it is crystal clear that on day one this'll be a priority for president Romney.

He did say that any and all measures with respect to that with respect to Iran's nuclear program.

-- should be on the table he did emphasize as his senior advisors have during this trip as well.

That the -- is and he said his fervent hope during the speech is that diplomatic and economic measures would be enough.

To tie the hands of -- running into would seek to produce nuclear weapons.

Company said everything is still on the table do you think that goes a step farther does it sound very much like what President Obama has set.

Well I think we as a nation need to do everything to signal Tehran and the rest of the world.

That there is no doubt that we cannot allow the Iranians to achieve nuclear capability.

There are those of us in congress that believe the President Obama is on a mission and in a trajectory that it would allow for just the containment in appeasement.

That is not the direction that we should be going so Mitt Romney is making it crystal clear we cannot allow the Iranians even have this capability.

It containment is not good enough you have to make sure that they don't have this capability.

-- mr.

Romney talked many times during the speech about these similarities between Israel and the US he talked about the fact that.

We both believe in democracy and in freedom freedom of expression and many other things.

Israel many times is viewed as being one of the only.

-- nations in that region that most closely mirrors the US.

He said the alliance goes beyond just nearly a strategic alliance sound but our underlying values are the same.

How -- -- absolutely we will have great economic ties between the United States and Israel.

We have it a desire for peace and prosperity in the world it is the one democracy in the region we ought to be able to protect that.

I can't imagine what would happen here in the United States of America we have literally thousands of of bombs and weapons being -- put into our American cities eight yet and Israel deals with this every single day I've been there I've seen it I felt that I can't believe that they put up with.

Just this simple idea that they should have a great right to exist as a Jewish state is something.

That there are other parts of the they're neighbors that are surrounding them a question of course they have the right.

And should be living there as a Jewish state so.

There is a deep seated connection with us on every level -- economic from the way with a form of government in to democracy.

And the pursuit of freedom freedom of the press the opportunity even here as governor Romney talked about to hear about opposing sides and and have a free discussion in the world.

But let there be no doubt Israel is our greatest of friends.

And we cannot allow the Iranians to do what they want to do which is wipe Israel off of the face of the planet.

-- you -- Republican congressman Jason tickets thank you for your time today.

They -- thank you.
