Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox -- weather center with your forecast for.
The northwest and also the midwest and is going to be another relatively cool day out across.
Parts of the Pacific northwest -- in Seattle your expected high temperature at only 72.
76 in the city of Portland -- a lot hotter across parts of the Rockies second boys a hundred degrees -- high temperature this afternoon.
98 and Salt Lake City and 98 as well in the city of -- really feeling the heat out here across parts of the Rockies.
-- are also seeing some very hot temperatures well above average and also on dangerous levels.
Is across parts of the midwest and also essential planes and fortunately once again upper nineties widespread.
Iowa parts of Nebraska Kansas 97 over -- -- -- -- Dodge City you're into the triple digits this afternoon.
With the high expected to reach a 104 degrees -- of course we do have some excessive heat warnings in place.
And -- some heat advisories out across parts.
The central plains down into parts of the south because -- just how hot it's going to be out there with those temperatures into the triple digits.
And also some humidity that'll make it feel even hotter we do have some heavy rain pushing -- parts of Kansas City early today and we're gonna see also some showers and storms firing up.
Once again across parts of the central and southern Rockies in some of those isolated showers will creep on into parts.
Other midwest throughout the day today so keep that in mind you could -- -- -- but it's going to be very hit or miss in nature not widespread.
Rainfall otherwise Pacific northwest relatively quiet Seattle down into Portland.
And as we head into Tuesday morning and get some isolated stuff in South Dakota they generally dry day across the midwest.
And during the morning hours across parts of the Rockies you don't really see much activity it's not until later on in the afternoon and evening.
That you really -- some of those heavier downpours from showers and storms and then my nanny on Wednesday could be seeing some showers making into the city of Minneapolis.
Isolated stuff though and very quick moving otherwise Pacific northwest still on the dry side from Seattle down into Portland on the I five quarter.
