One small business founded and owned by several disabled veterans may be forced to go under that's because the federal government has rejected their request for.

Service disabled veteran status.

For small business owners but the business business.

Owners claim.

They meet all the requirements for yup we're joined right now by the co owners the New England industrial engineering medical Waste Services Jeremy tell bush retired US army ranger -- one of the founding members of wounded warriors and -- home and co owner and US navy veteran.

Thanks for both you for being here guys and I haven't I guess I guess Jeremy to -- a company first.

Our company was founded and became one its own back in August of 2007.

And has been in the service disabled veteran owned company.

As though since then founded by James -- some of Vietnam veteran himself who passed -- just last year or.

And transfer ship of you know ownership has -- happened in in the last year less than a year ago I should say right and none of those are one of the things up for question which is.

Completely within regulations exactly and so dean explain why the federal government money that you've been relying on -- dried up.

Well right now what we found is when -- when mr.

-- passed away we had to restructure our business and our ownership structure in order to remain in compliance.

When we did that we were we re bringing up points basically the -- have at least half the employees have to be disabled well at least 51% of the ownership has to be service disabled veteran.

And now we had reached out to the CD since dating back to August of last year.

Asking for guidance asking for support we received no support whatsoever our emails were not returned -- phone calls were not returned.

And now we recently just -- applied for a -- -- veteran status and we had to re apply because mr.

-- passed away anytime there's an ownership try to change.

So you re apply for status and you find out you don't have -- these government contracts not going to be renewed correct.

Jeremy yeah oh yeah definitely correct and were -- in them.

-- momentarily impact of our businesses right now and you know we we really have I don't want to say there's no time to wait but.

We have to recertify for verification absolutely 690 days dean it's not just -- it's it's a lot of companies like you in the same -- -- being denied by the federal government that is correct I recently saw statistic I read an article that was there were back in 2008 there were.

151000 companies service disable in the system.

And now there are just over 15100.

Companies in the system so that is a rate of 90% reduction since 2008.

And always here's with the veterans affairs says the company was originally verified 2010 but it's eligibility.

It's eligibility expired when the law was enacted the verification process change required dissemination a number of required business back minutes.

That is where the center for veteran enterprises found the company's business structure.

Was not in compliance your reaction.

Reaction to that was we had reached out to the CV again since August of last year we supplied all of the documents that they required they requested we did and went to a -- process is to find out we were denied.

Well let's find out whether or not this helps by virtue of you coming on the TV show did talk about it perhaps maybe they'll take another look at it.

The money that your intent will follow those views and couple weeks absolutely thank you very much -- Jeremy and being taken that much and good luck to you sir thank you thank you.
