Today Tuesday seems like a normal day but exactly twelve weeks left before Americans -- -- next president with the campaigns heating up.

And that is something we are continuing to watch aren't happening now we're glad you -- this everybody I'm generally.

And I'm grateful down thanks so much for joining us on a busy day -- right now governor Mitt Romney on his way back to the US of course.

After wrapping up a weeklong trip overseas earlier today in Warsaw Poland.

The Republican presidential candidate delivering a speech on foreign policy.

Applauding the polish spirit and take -- veiled shot at president Obama's domestic policies.

Praising Poland's economy as a model of small government and free enterprise.

Rather than heating the false promise of a government dominated economy.

-- sought to stimulate innovation.

Attract investment expand trade.

And live within its means.

Meantime President Obama returns to the campaign trail later on this week targeting some key battleground states traveling to Ohio tomorrow.

They're making stops in Florida and Virginia on Thursday.

Meantime with the latest polls showing a statistical dead heat.

This election could hinge on voters who so far.

Remain undecided Joseph Trippi was Howard dean's presidential.

Campaign manager he's a Fox News contributor and he joins us now Joseph who are these undecided folks.

Whether that had dared to very small number of people I mean it's -- that I've never seen the number of undecideds below 5% around 5% did this or will this hurt late excuse me in this.

In the election cycle and they -- here and there in these critical swing states and and it's it's almost as if there aren't enough of them to make a difference that they're not going to be together going to be late insiders.

And that would starting turning out here is -- -- is turnout is gonna be all about turning out the people are already for you.

And not so much about about these voters and less negative ads stop them from going because both sides afraid of them.

Moving one way or the other -- the last.

Few few weeks so are we gonna see the campaigns go after.

These undecided they may be small -- number but as -- mentioned there in some of the key swing states that could really.

Decide this thing so if you're if you're working for the Obama -- -- for the Romney campaign how do you target these people.

-- -- -- -- -- They are not in any one place in the state in other words there you know when you get down to move only 5% Rick you know that's like one person here at three over there.

So there's there and they're not -- any one group so what's gonna happen here I think is it's one of the reasons you're seeing the the campaign gets so negative.

You you know makes her.

That you if you're Obama that you make these people decide they're not -- to be for Romney Romney's trying to make sure that they don't vote for Obama.

And I think you could get -- uglier campaign as we did is we get further down.

-- closer to election year may be about suppress it not suppressing -- turning these voters off.

While you turn your own voters on in and get them to turn out I think that's where you're gonna see both campaigns ago we heard this is gonna be ugly.

And it's it's as advertised.

And you think it could get worse.

Are the absolutely absolutely first of all the two campaigns don't have much control I mean their spending a lot of money but the fact of the matter is super pacs.

That don't have anybody -- you know there's nobody to report to they -- They can go did as mean as they want news and I think will because that's what I mean it's a lot easier justice and some reason operative.

It's a lot easier to go negative than it is to go positive if you're disengage from the campaign.

If there's no boss to report to.

You know if you don't -- the candidates saying don't do that so I think.

You get -- sample size I think he's -- -- -- expenditures in these super pacs are gonna add tremendously to the negativity.

Joseph let me ask you we have a couple minutes left Bill Clinton it was announced.

This week that he's gonna play a pretty major role at the convention.

Coming up later this summer in North Carolina of course he's got a lot of baggage but he's also.

One of the biggest superstars in the Democratic Party.

Do you think it's a Smart move to give in this spotlight.

I think so look I I think he's.

Definitely one of the I think -- most popular former president.

Living former president right now.

And I -- you know the way to think about this is of Ronald Reagan were alive and in -- in Bill Clinton's aides.

I don't think there'd be any doubt that he wouldn't be at the Republican Convention speaking for Mitt -- I -- so I think it's it you know it they both -- both Reagan and Clinton.

Had tough economies.

-- what had big growth.

From their policies and I think either one of them in clintons -- serious and very popular right now.

To be able to say -- dominate and this is the person that keep the -- on his I think makes sense for them.

-- to do -- question real quickly I'm Bill Clinton of course famous.

For moving to the sensor working compromising and working with Republicans.

Does President Obama do that as we get closer and closer fourteen weeks away.

Should he do that.

I don't think anybody -- look.

Watched -- right now some mass is polarized so they gave me here on either side looks like they're gonna be getting much done are working together between.

Now and November.

I think you know after the election.

All bets are off on that maybe people come together very right now it's just too partisan up here in Washington -- just don't see that Joseph Trippi Fox News Channel contributor former campaign manager.

For governor Howard Dean good to see Joseph thanks as always.
