Meantime President Obama returns to the campaign trail later on this week targeting some key battleground states traveling to Ohio tomorrow.

They're making stops in Florida and Virginia on Thursday.

This election could hinge on voters who so far.

Remain undecided Joseph Trippi was Howard dean's presidential.

Campaign manager he's a Fox News contributor and he joins us now Joseph who are these undecided folks.

Whether that had dared to very small number of people I mean it's -- that I've never seen the number of undecideds below 5% around 5% did this or will this hurt late excuse me in this.

In the election cycle and they -- here and there in these critical swing states and and it's it's almost as if there aren't enough of them to make a difference that they're not going to be together going to be late insiders.

And that would starting turning out here is -- -- is turnout is gonna be all about turning out the people are already for you.

And not so much about about these voters and less negative ads stop them from going because both sides afraid of them.

Few few weeks so are we gonna see the campaigns go after.

These undecided they may be small -- number but as -- mentioned there in some of the key swing states that could really.

Decide this thing so if you're if you're working for the Obama -- -- for the Romney campaign how do you target these people.

So there's there and they're not -- any one group so what's gonna happen here I think is it's one of the reasons you're seeing the the campaign gets so negative.

And I think you could get -- uglier campaign as we did is we get further down.

While you turn your own voters on in and get them to turn out I think that's where you're gonna see both campaigns ago we heard this is gonna be ugly.

And it's it's as advertised.

And you think it could get worse.

Are the absolutely absolutely first of all the two campaigns don't have much control I mean their spending a lot of money but the fact of the matter is super pacs.

That don't have anybody -- you know there's nobody to report to they -- They can go did as mean as they want news and I think will because that's what I mean it's a lot easier justice and some reason operative.

It's a lot easier to go negative than it is to go positive if you're disengage from the campaign.

If there's no boss to report to.

You know if you don't -- the candidates saying don't do that so I think.

You get -- sample size I think he's -- -- -- expenditures in these super pacs are gonna add tremendously to the negativity.

Joseph let me ask you we have a couple minutes left Bill Clinton it was announced.

This week that he's gonna play a pretty major role at the convention.

Coming up later this summer in North Carolina of course he's got a lot of baggage but he's also.

One of the biggest superstars in the Democratic Party.

Do you think it's a Smart move to give in this spotlight.

I think so look I I think he's.

Definitely one of the I think -- most popular former president.

And I -- you know the way to think about this is of Ronald Reagan were alive and in -- in Bill Clinton's aides.

I don't think there'd be any doubt that he wouldn't be at the Republican Convention speaking for Mitt -- I -- so I think it's it you know it they both -- both Reagan and Clinton.

From their policies and I think either one of them in clintons -- serious and very popular right now.

To be able to say -- dominate and this is the person that keep the -- on his I think makes sense for them.
