Chief congressional correspondent Mike Emanuel either Washington what's the reaction on this outcome might.

Well bill there's some suggestion there's an effect a Republican civil war in Texas politics David Dewhurst was very closely tie with governor Rick Perry.

Use the governor's advisors and in the end.

Dewhurst expressed his appreciation.

He was the outsider to come in and promised that reform.

And in the end there was tremendous out of state support for Cruz and he's gone from political unknown.

It is a testament to republic -- women.

This is how elections are supposed to be decided by we the people.
