-- -- the president has made a habit out of apologizing for America overseas when it comes to the violent taxi administration lobs at its political opponents.
No matter how inaccurate they are team Obama just cannot be bothered to see the words I'm sorry that's why yesterday's White House apology.
To Charles Krauthammer was all the more shocking after week of feuding.
Communications director Dan Pfeiffer admitted on Tuesday that he was wrong and that the president did in fact returned the bust of Winston Churchill to Great Britain.
Now in a blog post on the official White House web site.
Pfeiffer wrote and I quote I take your criticism seriously and you are correct that you are -- -- an apology.
There was clearly an internal confusion about the two -- and there was no intention to deceived by clearly overshot the runway in my post.
And here to tell us and he accepts these rare apology is the man himself Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer which are -- -- -- for an apology the president.
You know was gonna send this guy mr.
Burgess to tear me up you got the -- I have not -- my apology.
-- -- -- I must say I was as surprised as has anyone actually wrote it my column on Monday.
Giving my side of the argument and I -- -- by saying that the united try to show the evidence and I was right and I said I'm asking for attraction.
And -- for an apology I said I already expected.
I would assume I would expect that nationals -- win the World Series before I see in a -- you're -- within six hours.
I get the apology which means that -- nationals are gonna win the World Series that extra money that means they're not gonna win the World Series my yankees are gonna win the World Series and that's what -- that's that's a 100% Charles.
Aren't so they except that you felt that something was missing.
What's this something well below OK was it.
I made a very simple statement that over Obama had returned the bust of -- That had been led to the United States to the Bush Administration.
In the bush years.
And I thought it was pretty an injection to -- is not the major.
Point in my column it was all about the -- trip.
And some of the slice that our allies have the experience from the Obama administration.
Over the last three years and then all assuming it is furious attack.
The White House website which is not exactly.
You know smaller megaphone.
Saying I was -- ridiculous rumors.
And this is a 100% to false it -- And showing what appeared to be photographic evidence.
The claim that device had not been given back to the -- That had been moved to a different part of the White House now when I.
When I read that that -- blog post I was amazed because this is not something.
My statement was not something new had been around for years the -- had written about it especially in 2009.
And it turned out of course that the White House ultimately had made a mistake.
They it was returned -- -- but I called the British embassy.
That within hours -- statement that the bus that was given by.
The British government -- in 2001.
Was now residing in the British ambassador's residence in Washington.
And that device that was shown in the picture that was.
Few of the purported to be the one that was simply shifted.
From one part of the -- -- -- the other was actually -- had been given in 1960s.
And was not I had nothing to do at all.
With the issue at hand and the sculpture -- -- while listen you know why this gracious.
Gracious of -- which by the way you know for those of us that know you you accepted their policy.
-- you move on.
The polls we pay attention to them.
They now begin to matter 9097.
Days out of an election.
They're beginning to matter especially in swing states.
But we see this pattern in the media where it Democrats are over sample.
You know nine points eleven points ten points latest poll New York Times CBS poll quinnipiac poll that came out.
-- looked at three swing states let's go to Florida first and as you can see right here okay it's a pretty big margin -- six point margin by a President Obama 5145.
But.
They over sampled Democrats by 9% if you look at Ohio they over sampled Democrats by 8%.
And if you look at Pennsylvania not a state fed fed governor Romney asked to win -- little bit closer is only about 6%.
What extent do you think this has an impact -- they look at these these models that will not exist in this election year.
Well if I could you say one last thing.
There's that I want to say that I do appreciate the apology from the White House.
Do is I -- gracious one and the case is closed I don't wanna continue that -- just trying to make it.
Claim that this I appreciate what was done.
And there was.
Unexpected and something that.
I think that the White House can actually point two.
As an expression that it's a good laws nicely hit a -- apologize for America for once I'm out -- but I doubt us but those are separate issues yes.
I know somebody actually he said that -- the only entity on earth.
Other than rogue states that is usually given authority to cut the from the White House but I don't want a repeat that so which -- for John Doherty doesn't clean up okay now.
Now on the polls I think the one that he's a little bit suspicious here and I say suspicious I'm not -- conspiracies there's a Florida poll.
Because he over sampling here I think he said was nine points.
Now the important thing is not the amount of over sample it.
Of Democrats over Republicans but that comparing them over sampling.
To what was in the exit polls in 2000 -- so in the state over Florida the actual.
Turnout.
Was 3% more Democrats and Republicans.
To Gallup poll that shows -- 9% more.
You know would skew it and probably a little bit wrong and the other two states I think -- percent going to Democrats -- closer to it was a result in no way.
So is the one in the in the Florida put -- that I think is a little bit misleading.
And I don't think there's any deliberate attempt to mislead by the posters I think it's just a matter of technique and how they decide.
Who's likely and you know who you'll you include -- excludes.
But I think there's one thing you got to remember the most important thing in these numbers is the enthusiasm.
For Republicans.
The -- the Democrats.
It is way up compared to -- among Republicans.
Say is significantly down.
Among Democrats compared to -- -- and that will determine who turns out so you know you get somebody speaking on the phone.
That is in any -- needed to telling you who's gonna show up at the polls on Election Day all right Charles Krauthammer thanks so much for sharing that story with us --
