Begin tonight though with a story that has all the major elements politics religion sex and money.
It involves the obamacare requirement about contraception coverage that has become an issue of religious freedom.
Chief national correspondent -- Jim Angle tells us that rule takes effect today.
The president's health care law is headed for another constitutional showdown.
As the new mandate takes effect requiring all the Catholic churches to provide women's preventive care without a -- a including mammograms and much.
-- we're here to mark a new date for women's health in America.
No longer -- women go without birth control because they can't afford to -- games.
Because the mandate also -- birth control as preventive care.
But the mandate requires all businesses and even Catholic Charities and universities to cover the full range of contraceptives at no cost.
Including abortion inducing drugs.
Catholics reject that as an illegal government intrusion on religion.
Companies around the country -- they have to either comply with it paid very very strong excessive fines.
Or go out of business for the first time in American history.
We'll have a law that will require employers to violate their consciences and pay for things that are morally objectionable.
In fact -- comedy in Colorado sued and won an injunction to delay the law thought the judge ruled in this case is that the interest the government was claiming quote.
Pails in comparison unquote.
To the infringement of the religious freedom of the family there are now 25 lawsuits arguing the mandate violates the constitution.
And forty years of laws intended to prevent government from forcing people to violate their religious -- The latest one from 1993 was championed by democratic senator.
-- -- -- Says that if you substantially burden the free exercise of religion you have to have a compelling governmental interest and their can't be a less restrictive way of doing it.
On all of these tests the federal mandate on contraception fails.
The administration delayed the mandate for -- -- -- religious groups hoping to avoid an election year collision.
-- they have punted it beyond the election and said we won't make this part of it.
Effective for a year those scripts are essentially being told by the government the religious freedom is on borrowed time.
One anti abortion group however priests for life says it will have to tell employees fighting abortion.
That they're entitled the drugs that induce abortions less any employees -- -- match.
That we without -- consent to provide coverage for actions that destroy human life.
I want to make it clear here today that we will this -- days.
And a group of 57 Republicans is offering legislation just stop the mandate.
President Obama has tried to make this an issue.
Birth control it's not an issue birth control it's an issue of government control.
Clearly the fight over the health care law he is nowhere near the end.
