Think signals tonight about where the country is going -- jobs employers added more jobs than expected but the unemployment rates went up as well.

White House correspondent Wendell Goler has the numbers and what they mean.

Politically there was something in July's employment report for both the president and his Republican challenger.

Jobs created with 60000 more than analysts expected.

And after three straight months in -- less than a 100000 jobs regained mr.

That means that we've now created four point five million new jobs over the last 49 months.
