President Obama and governor Mitt Romney are pushing their economic messages after Friday's jobs report.

The governor focused on the unemployment rate eight point 3% in July that's up from eight point 2% in June.

-- in Indiana today said quote the president's policies are to blame.

We've had 42.

Straight months.

With unemployment over 8% and this was a president who said that if we passed is stimulus bill.

We'd never go above 8% -- -- about it above it for 48 -- 42 straight months.

President Obama who's celebrating his 51 birthday today also focused on the jobs numbers specifically the jobs added in July 163000.

Not enough to bring down the unemployment -- but more than expected and almost 100000 more than what was added in June.

We've now created four point five million new jobs over the last 49 months and one point one million new jobs so far this year.

Those are our neighbors and family members finding work and the security that comes with work.

But let's acknowledge.

We've still got too many folks out there were looking for work.

There are three more politically sensitive jobs reports coming out before the election.

Including a report for October which will be released in November 4 days before the election.
