And we begin with this Fox News alert we're getting our first look at the gunman who police say murdered six people at a sikh temple during Sunday services.
As authorities released brand new information about the tragedy in Wisconsin welcome to America a lot of -- and bring in today from Megyn Kelly.
Just a short time ago police releasing this image of the shooter the accused shooter identified as forty year old wade Michael page.
A former army sergeant once stationed at Fort Bragg and the former leader of a skinhead rock they -- Police in Oak Creek holding a news conference describing what happened in the moments before page was put down by police.
The officer was shot it's -- nine times.
At -- since then and very close range.
With a handgun.
At that point other officers arriving on scene and heard those gunshots we're not aware that the other officer had been shot.
They took of a position and did observe the suspect.
In the parking lot walking.
And at that point beginning began to give him commands as far as dropping his weapon and putting his hands up.
Rick Leventhal joins us live from police headquarters in Oak Creek with more -- -- Asia and the press coverage -- within the last hour the FBI also spoke calling this a senseless act of violence and a possible lack.
Of domestic terrorism -- FBI says there was one.
Only one shooter.
But they are looking for someone else wanna get another look at -- Michael page as you mentioned a forty year old army veteran who served six years is a psychological operations specialist.
And hawk missile system repair man before being discharged back in 1998 for patterns of misconduct including drinking on duty.
And the FBI released a picture of a person of interest they say he showed up at that sikh temple after the shooting but left before police could talk to a the FBI evidence response team still processing the crime scene at the temple.
We're paid allegedly walked and just before 10:30 Sunday morning opened fire with a nine millimeter semiautomatic handgun.
Going through multiple magazines of ammunition killing five men and one woman and then opening fire on that first police officer who arrived on scene -- you heard.
Other arriving officers and you also heard -- the drop his weapon and then wound up.
Killing him.
This page may or may not have those white supremacist tattoos may or may not have performed in -- skinhead band.
But interest in general we were in the neighborhood this morning spoke to a neighbor who used to walk -- house every morning.
And talk to page and says he spoke with a multiple times and he seemed pretty normal to him.
-- be very personable he was a real talker big how you doing to kids they three kids.
When you guys doing today and there was a construction crews in the neighborhood and I'm he was a -- got it would go and talk to everybody.
It is like yet that dark side like got to moment unreal I'm everybody's got a skeleton and -- closet and I guess it came out yesterday.
And the FBI still investigating this case still talking to family & Associates of -- Michael page.
They say they don't know of any other threats to others sikh temples across the US but they're obviously keeping -- -- -- Right Rick Leventhal live on the scene thank you.
