Well -- 48 hours after that shooting -- and there are still police officers outside of the sikh temple behind us.

They've opened the main road here but access to the temple itself has now been sealed.

As the FBI continues to process the crime -- gather forensic.

We can tell you that the police officer who was injured in that attack -- -- Brian Murphy is still listed in critical condition the 51 year old officer in the hospital shot eight or nine times in the neck and extremities he was wearing a bulletproof vest.

The twenty year veteran of the tactical team -- born in Brooklyn.

And his brother is a retired NYPD detective waved off arriving officers to help -- before they helped him.

Of course the shooter has been identified -- -- Michael Paige a forty year old.

Army veteran whose discharge for misconduct he's noted a hard metal musician had a band called and apathy.

He apparently bought the nine millimeter semiautomatic handgun used in the shooting less than a week.

Coming to the police department bringing gifts of flowers and baked goods to thank the officers for their hard work responding to this awful awful tragedy.
