Of the battle for control of the US senate is playing out right now.

Now in the state of Missouri and great journey for -- -- I everybody and generally in today's Republican primary in the show -- state.

Filled with political drama and the outcome could tip the bounce -- power three Republicans are fighting for the nomination.

To run against senator Claire McCaskill a Democrat.

One is a wealthy businessman John foreigner who has recently lead in the polls US congressman Todd Aiken has strong support from conservative Christians there.

And former state treasurer Sarah Steelman is trailing the pack but she can get support.

From the Tea Party thinks an endorsement by former Governor Sarah Palin.

Remember control of this and it could be at stake here right now Democrats are in the majority with 51 seats in the senate Republicans have point seven.

But 33 seats are up for grabs its when he three of that held by Democrats.

How one race can be so -- to the overall results tell us why this race in Missouri is important.

Bet that if Lugar ran against this guy and a Tea Party backed candidate like Richard Murdoch and the primary you would lose and Richard Lugar did.

He would be walking into a win right now -- he was still in the race.

Now Joseph Donnelly a Democrat.

Really has a chance in that race system of these outsider candidates have really threatened the republicans' prospects in the general election you look at.

Places where Republicans are doing well congressman Dean Heller in Nevada congressman Jeff flake.

In Arizona and of course governor.

In Virginia some of -- might be backed by -- part hair Club for Growth but there insiders with experience.

And -- of the candidates they're faring well but that's on the republic.
