We are just days away arguably.
From the biggest decision Mitt Romney will make is the Republican candidate who will choose for his running -- The -- of that decision we thought would bring back our series running with Romney.
And reintroduce you to the people we believe our Romney's top four choices on his short short list.
With the caveat of course that only governor Romney knows for sure and he certainly could choose someone outside of these four.
We begin with one of the Republican Party is young guns whose -- seems to be on everyone's lips right now.
I think that the most likely pick is say is Paul Ryan.
Paul -- makes -- Romney really likes -- and I think there's a good chance he's the -- in recent days Wisconsin congressman and House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan's stock.
Has been rising morning they -- -- a long way from the conventional wisdom early on that Ryan and his budget.
Might be too dangerous for governor Romney to ever embrace the next president of the United States ladies and gentlemen.
-- -- -- In fact top Democrats jumping on the perceived vulnerability.
Would talk about Ryan's budget that had already passed the Republican House.
Were they specific campaign strategy in mind.
The Romney Ryan plan the Romney.
Ryan budget the -- Ryan budget governor Romney has not shied away from Ryan his budget.
-- were his vision for the future this is a person who has led a very clear path for our party and for our nation.
What are we embrace your budget is that a full embrace.
I never expect people to embrace every little.
Decimal point every little spreadsheet line item but clearly he's embraced the kinds of reforms that we're talking about that are necessary.
To save and strengthen Medicare.
To prevent our debt crisis from occurring to reform the tax code to get jobs back in the economy and -- stop -- crony capitalism stop the corporate welfare what the president is dealing.
Is -- saying I want -- take more money from hard working Americans from successful small business is bringing to Washington that doesn't grow the economy.
That growth cronyism.
And we reject that for the first time in history this country.
We know without a shred of doubt all the economic forecasters are Tony says we're gonna get her kids and inferior standard of living and diminished future.
We have an obligation to prevent that from happening and give the country choice analysts seem to agreed the choice of Ryan by Mitt Romney.
He would be striking -- Romney was quick step forward says look.
We have to do what's right for America now put politics aside that's why pick Ryan.
That could be a big bold message to commute could make a difference in this election.
From marketing consultant to political aide to speech writer for the late congressman presidential candidate and vice presidential nominee Jack Kemp I come from.
The Jack -- school of thought he knew he was my political mentor.
People should not be stuck.
In their station in life aren't some class.
We want -- society of upper mobility in 1998 Ryan was elected congressman of Wisconsin's first district when he was just 28 years old.
And then -- house Republican leaders realized Ryan was a budget witness.
They moved him -- the seniority line quickly.
Vaulting him over twelve more senior Republicans on the budget committees.
The -- will -- come to order in 2011 at the age of 41 Ryan became the youngest chairman of the House Budget Committee.
Which brings us back to his budget plan the path to prosperity.
We feel that we have a moral any legal obligation.
That if we don't like the direction the president's taking the country we should do something about it more importantly we have a law that says congress has to -- pass -- budget every year by April 15.
We think we should follow the law.
The senate for three years has decided not to -- that law.
The president has given us four budgets and never in one of those budgets if you propose any solution to this fiscal crisis so what they decided to do.
-- offer no solutions of their own weight for Republicans to offer hours then divide distort distract.
At times Democrats have taken attacking the Ryan budget to new levels.
Using this -- of someone who looked a lot like Paul Ryan pushing an old woman in a wheelchair over a cliff in a New York congressional race.
You ready for Mitt Romney.
For you pushing the grandmother over the cool wet.
I've been having these ads running it's been for years so we're all used to this then there was -- obamas invited to Paul Ryan to sit in the audience.
As he lambasted Ryan's budget for -- serious about plan that claims to reduce the deficit by spending a trillion dollars on tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
Everything the president says about budgets about our numbers were used to him telling things that are -- Dramatic distortions put on the taxes here's the deal we don't want to cut a deal on tax reform what the Democrats did in some back room.
And then tell the American people what we decided we wanted to -- in public we're gonna say.
Just like some Democrats agree with us.
Let's get rid of all the loopholes and special just it wasn't tax shelters most of the tax shelters are used by -- commerce -- and lower tax rates for everybody.
Lord veterans or families lower tax rates for successful small businesses in exchange for broadening the base and -- and and reducing tax shelters.
We're going to have all these hearings in the ways and means committee to discover which -- -- the best -- to keep.
And we think we should limit them come from higher income earners so the more their income is subject to taxation but that exchange you get a lower tax rates.
One factor that could've changed -- calculations on possibly picking Ryan as a running mates.
Wisconsin's role in the election.
After Republican governor Scott Walker's big win fighting off -- recall back in June.
Most analysts believe Ryan's prospects went up and Wisconsin is now in play.
I think President Obama had just put this in his column you just assume from the very beginning was -- and it was going to be ahead.
But you know what we're gonna win -- caps and we're gonna get my -- My.
And gets back to Wisconsin and his family as much as he can.
Often rushing straight to the airport after house votes to get home to his wife Jana and their three children.
Massive get yet obviously -- out of my office here I don't have a place out here you see I'm here -- days a week after the last vote I had home.
Put -- want to keep my truck there drive home and you don't dislike and then again millions.
We'll know in coming days whether he's the guy for Romney out.
Analysts say one thing is clear.
If it is a Romney Ryan ticket the race will likely focus on big issues we look at Europe and we see where they're -- -- we don't want to go that direction.
