I veep stakes are running wild -- Mitt Romney's bombshell announcement is like that happened this week or next on the short list.
Seems to evolve with each passing day but one man who has consistently -- at or near the top of the list former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty.
And with governor -- strong record.
In his ability to appeal to voters across the board it would not be a surprise that we saw a Romney Pawlenty ticket joining me now to talk about the possibility of the man himself former Minnesota governor presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty.
I governor c'mon.
What are you now let's got to help us out here this I think that you think -- just gonna spill the beans here on Hannity.
What yeah absolutely they what is still on your show -- what does that mean.
-- -- -- If there were beings dispel this would be a great place to spill -- -- -- as you know from interviewing many other guests Romney campaign we have a policy of not talking about the VP process.
As it was mentioned earlier in the show -- around he's got great people to pick from great bench strength in the conservative movement Susanna Martinez Bobby Jindal Marco Rubio.
Nikki Haley Bob McDonald Rob Portman Paul Ryan David Petraeus and more so.
He can't make a bad pick he's gotten tremendous tremendous people to pick from those.
Funny it's introducing sex actually agree with you I think we have a pretty deep bench.
Historically one of the important roles of -- VP.
Is.
-- of course being prepared but more importantly one of the important roles is -- you've got to go out attack.
You you ready for that considering.
Let's see Mitt Romney is pretty much been accused of murder of the last 24 hours of being a murderer.
Being a felon having not pay taxes for ten years -- -- a racist.
How do you how would you counter that if you -- the VP candidate.
Well whether you're gonna be good.
Presidential candidate the VP candidate or any leader in this conservative movement one of the responsibilities and opportunities we have to say why Barack Obama should be terminated from his job -- doesn't deserve reelection.
And got to make the case while he has failed as -- president it's not hard to do -- in a third grader could do this -- got -- in economy that's in.
Massive trouble -- get 23 million Americans unemployed underemployed can't find work half of our high school graduates in college graduates.
Can't find a job we've got a president who's never been connected to the private sector and says things like you know if you own a business -- started a business you didn't build that.
Mean it it is an easy case to make why Barack Obama shouldn't be reelected president knighted states.
And by the way you know he made all these great big promises broke most of -- and -- hope and change has become bait and switch.
Well did you do you think that the president -- because I agree with everything that you're saying obviously and and we even kind of leading the case against Obama do you think the country.
Really understands what's at stake here.
Do you think it's going to be our case to make you think this for example could your state go Brett could Wisconsin already.
Are you confident now in Ohio and Iowa New Hampshire in New Mexico and and Nevada.
Florida.
You don't take anything for granted look these are this -- the swing states and others that you mention.
Our love -- a lot of attention is going to be and should be because that's -- them both states that are not so predispose to go one way or the other but the American people are not that.
Dumb they're wise they're not gonna wanna be duped twice you have somebody who stood the Foreman 2008.
And made big promises things like he was gonna cut the deficit in half in his first term.
He didn't do -- adding nearly.
Triple that he said he was gonna do Health Care Reform on a bipartisan basis he broke that promise to and stiff armed and -- the Republicans aside he said if he doesn't get unemployment economy turned around.
He should have a one term proposition we agree he should go.
And down the list so -- these big speeches Chinese big speeches that he gives they don't put gas in the car they don't pay the mortgage they don't pay the grocery bill.
They don't take care your kids' college we can't eat and live on his.
Teleprompter speeches that's not working people have figured it I think the president is lost -- like ability by going so negative and allowing his surrogate surrogate to be so negative.
Well he hasn't lost a totally as the numbers and Frank -- and others would say but he certainly losing it and in increments each day and the ads that you showed earlier.
Where you have -- gentlemen who's obviously hurting from the loss of his wife.
And then to have the super -- the Obama's super pac exploit that to the point where they factually lie.
About Mitt Romney's time in in that company in other words he had already.
Left -- by the time they made the decision to close veteran governor that's not befitting of the office and it is it reflects a campaign in a super pac agenda that.
