But last rational look at how the media -- was.

Politics in general in particular.

-- -- with us today Judy -- Fox News contributor.

You can tweet Judy at any time -- Jay Adam free speech could see you as always Judy and I think probably the election themes that of the -- in the way the media -- coverage had there is covering it to have do you think that.

Handling the themes from both sides.

Well if you are in me.

Romney camp you are quoting Jim Carville it's the economy stupid you want it to be the economy all the time of mourning tonight.

And if you are an Obama supporter you definitely want it to be his class warfare.

Romney is the rich elitist snobbish businessman with a dancing course is as Gene Robinson said on MSNBC yesterday he so you want.

And different mean very different narrative depending on which side of the political spectrum -- on now.

But the Wall Street Journal had a really interesting piece it said even if you think.

The election hinges on the economy which I think most people do they are different ways to read the numbers.

You can either paint this recovery.

As being pathetically weak which is what the Republicans are trying to do right.

Or if you're Obama -- you can say.

That heat single handedly along with a little bit of obstructionism from Republicans.

Managed to stave off financial collapse through the stimulus and all of these other things.

The numbers are very hard to look at objectively and say they help Obama I don't think they do right.

Because you have eight point 3% unemployment -- seven point 8% when he took over.

You have the loss of eight point seven million jobs even though.

He managed to create according to the CBO between 500000.

Jobs and 3.5 million through his stimulus program but the numbers are not good so the best hope.

That Obama has is to shift the conversation.

And many conservative analysts believe.

That's the liberal media are helping him do that right so but the but the point here I guess.

Is that the the liberal media might take one theme.

-- more of an Obama point of view the conservative media might take.

The theme from the -- -- point of view but rather do is there is there a feeling still that the liberal media that there's more liberal media been consistent guy that's a problem.

Yes I mean I think it's obvious that most -- reporters self identify as Democrats and they self identify as liberals and therefore you tend to get.

It's more sympathy more empathy towards the mean we're in the narrative that's being put out there by the Republicans that is -- who has -- for example criticism of the media -- so far.

-- argues that important stories are not being picked up by the mainstream media or they're being underplayed by the mainstream media for example.

The Catholic bishops.

Lawsuit.

-- against the health mandating that ABC NBC CBS did not cover it.

And gave it almost no coverage.

And -- it became something that you simply couldn't ignore demonstrations and a 163.

Cities to really see any of them that I'm really you know being network knows -- no news no you didn't.

So that's the concern about the coverage so far.

I don't think that's because there's cable news you can pretty much choose.

To get the news yeah again that's something that kind.

-- worries me a little bit about acting you know -- democracy these days is that you can choose.

You know not only can the media choose which -- they take pride but the viewers and listeners and readers could choose.

-- -- they wanna hear or read about.

And too many people I think these days.

Just sit in their own little echo chamber they only -- -- hear the news from the point of view with which they agree.

Absolutely and and the point of good news coverage is to provoke you -- -- -- obsolete but instead many people just want their -- prior prejudices.

Their own views reinforced and therefore you get a kind of vicious cycle which is reinforced by the social media -- it is also selected by the person.

Who already may have very strong views so you don't have that kind of national debate that we used to having quote the good -- -- is when you had just three main networks -- you know entrepreneur liberal.

It really says to me that if you if you want to be well informed and it didn't.

You know it's it's good for all of us if we're better informed if you're conservative go -- left wing blogs if you're.

Liberal go -- all -- right wing blogs it everybody better informed and we're better off -- -- country back.

Happens the other thing that's happened is the extreme negativity of the actually right glad yeah we -- -- -- about it you know you've talked about it you're.

That's gonna continue as one commentator said I'm real clear politics he's going to get worse before it gets even -- -- -- forget.

Carly nephew of our viewers weighing in here hold the jury says do we have -- do we even have an election theme.

Obama seems to be running on look what the Republicans gave me and -- Romney running on look what the Democrats have done to me -- -- really wow -- -- other guy's fault I went from Sacramento said the media is missing period they keep pointing us and other things shiny things things to distract us.

And -- Griffin 57 says no the reelection team is the other guy.

Will cost you vote for me Judy Miller and an all star rotating cost.

-- -- -- these things in the media coverage of these matters.
