-- was supposed to be relaxing -- vacation turned into a nightmare for one Colorado man.

I like.

Your home I blogger -- My god could let people you speak.

You know -- -- had been.

Each.

I think I completed a little big -- -- from the EU nylon line.

Well Chris Myers was swimming off the coast of Cape Cod with a sixteen year old son.

When he was suddenly attacked by -- great white shark the odds of that happening or something like.

One in all eleven million but Chris -- thankfully Andy's here to share his story he -- was right with you to Chris when this happened.

We're -- you had to take place.

But we were trying to swim out to -- sandbar off the coast of Boston beach and Europe.

And to do some body surfing and we got almost out to the sandbar I think and my son asked me what would happen if we got bit by a shark -- know where he just as a kid.

And -- it well we'd be history.

That's right and it hasn't happened since 1930 -- and apparently that's the case straight but I I actually made history in a different sense like that would be it for us in hotels yet tell us -- how I should have put it.

And so.

Then.

We decided to start swimming back that this -- are -- -- seem a little far away after that conversation.

And just as I was started turn around and head back I felt the shark.

Bite on to my left leg well let's do some show and tell here because you actually have your left in your right as you rightly what OK so what happened.

The shark.

So the shark bit on to my left leg back I never saw the shark but he grabbed my left leg I felt like my leg was caught in some kind of -- -- -- -- -- -- my right leg.

And -- about that moment.

I -- feel as knows I could feel teeth are good at it and then he let go so you can integrate white.

Shark in the Shaw's yeah I guess I didn't know at the time but I think it wasn't an -- -- what was going through your mind at that time.

You know I know what it was mostly thinking as the sharks got my leg.

The other intellectually -- -- the left Blake he's articulate your right leg but it did both.

Well it it I didn't have a deep puncture wound to the -- on this leg there's a couple and that I don't know whether it bit me and the second time weather had initially -- that led.

Yeah I'm not quite sure about that you probably are alive today because unlike that.

And you have heard about the seal warnings are a lot of seals up there and and that's why they -- stay away from.

The shore.

But you probably elected because you're -- as opposed to a night nice fat.

-- -- Still delicious person yet know he bit me on my -- ankles and I think you decided.

I wasn't a -- and let me go and what did you sixteen year old son -- during all of this and so.

Well -- So we were swimming together at the time that this might happen and then the shark surface rate between the two of us.

And it was like he just wanted to show himself off his serve as the -- -- -- we saw the whole dorsal -- probably saw six feet of his back.

And figured he was a ten or twelve foot shark I understand you're about 500 -- has yet to swim back in with these holes in your legs.

-- -- -- Well.

We were we were actually closer to 500 yards so it was almost a quarter mile swim that we had to make and and you are losing blood to -- like you're gonna Passat.

Well we started swimming my son my son turned him and he said -- are you OK and I said I think I've been bit pretty bad.

But that we kept swimming there without really much subsidy of and ends we got about halfway and I started feeling light headed and I wondered if maybe I was losing blood at a pace where I would have trouble getting back to shore.

But then again you're just kept swimming we are lucky that somebody was able to call 91 wanted to get people there promptly and the prognosis is.

It's good I mean I'm walking now and and this was they're expecting full recovery -- -- you feel -- he got -- -- -- that's right yes incredible.

Well Chris Mars it's really dramatic story and thanks for hobbling in here to tell us this morning okay thanks for having taken with them because you'd go to class lives who would you do it -- -- He had -- that you're ready to go back in the water right.

-- you know I'm I'm I'm excited to try I think it'll be very short swim initially kept that that -- it -- wolf.
