Thanks for staying with us I'm Laura Ingraham in for Bill O'Reilly.
And in the -- with Geraldo segment tonight the prosecution makes a glaring error and its case against George Zimmerman.
As you know Zimmerman is charged with murdering seventeen year old train on -- last February in Sanford Florida he says he get -- out of self defense.
Yesterday special prosecutor Angela -- office.
Inadvertently.
Released confidential case materials to the media including a photo on -- -- body.
Joining me now to react from this -- stunning.
Fox News anchor Geraldo Rivera you can catch a show of course Geraldo at Large on -- and -- this Saturday at ten.
Now Geraldo I when I read the facts here I mean at that as a former defense attorney -- fell over I was like wait a second.
The prosecution.
Inadvertently.
Released his academic records.
And -- -- -- out of this seventeen year old body is kind of grainy photo button on the last wild.
You know first I thought of you and that's of the women boxers in the Olympics yes I'm good at that -- other products are all out.
You know if the photo of the decedent hero -- by Martin.
Was going to inflame the public and taint the jury pool I guess that would be you know what you're going to have a conspiracy theory you -- -- they released.
The photo of the dead youngster by accident but really it was intentional because they wanted to taint the jury pool poison the minds a potential jurors in the upcoming.
Murder two trial of George Zimmerman.
You know wasn't a very good picture it's widely available on the web now I don't think it was frenetic that I really don't.
There's been so much inflammatory material released in this case you know the prosecutor has bent over backwards to politicize.
This case already.
I really do think that this was just -- dopey assistant and Angela -- -- office.
That -- who released you know the the death photo it's really a Xerox of the death photo.
And then George Simmons College records which show they did slightly better than John Kerry did in in college.
But I I don't think that I think this is more -- competence.
Over eagerness remember that Florida.
Is sunshine state a B releases many of these.
Public documents as they possibly can without prejudicing the case Friday night -- the -- it is absolutely unlawful to release the body.
Of a decedent in that situation like this but I I think confidence more than.
An Enron the other thing is if you're if you're the defendant right.
It's hard did have a -- in view of this and even if it was and it sent.
As a defendant and lot of people are against the already if they have a preconceived notion of what happened and if you are innocent.
That's not good to have my guess he got a DN and try to criminal justice although I don't know -- -- -- now what that.
Much has to do it leathery.
Killed this individual or not but that the problem that that arises that.
He actually told something to the investigators.
And then -- the court understood this that was untrue.
About his own.
Background which you say goes against his credibility hurts them at this hearing he's gonna have to be at the stand your ground here and tell us about it.
But even that that he claimed to have graduated from the Seminole County college.
With an associate degree in fact -- flunked an astronomy course so technically he did not graduate.
But again I think in the in the overall lot of the overarching story line here is so serious.
That the fact that he lied about graduate from Seminole county college I don't think it is really.
That telling I -- I think that what is far more.
It probative and profoundly significant here.
Is the fact that George -- lied.
Or his wife lied and he condone her lying during their bail hearing.
They -- -- tarnishing his credibility.
Because I think Laura and I think -- the audience should know this he has an excellent.
Chance or had an excellent chance.
Odds of winning on the stand your ground law this is a classic case of -- self defense he was where it was supposed to be legally.
He wasn't breaking the law George Zimmerman.
He feared that he was being attacked.
A reasonably I think given the evidence he was screaming -- -- Zimmerman screaming you seem recreating.
The incident and he responded -- deadly force I think this is the classic case.
Of self defense however.
He has stood for a bit in the stand your ground hearing he's his own best and only witness he's the only eyewitness.
To what happened.
-- government's credibility is everything in this case now.
Now and by -- condone owning the -- about his financial.
Worth during the initial bail hearing.
Making this judge Lester so angry at him he has diminished his own credibility.
That's why the judge will not grant.
The stand your ground motion that's why this is going to trial but I still believe he has an excellent chance of beating the case despite his own stupidity.
The integrity failed astronomy if you and I Alan Dershowitz thinks this thing is not.
-- gone against the prosecution as well I'm Rhonda thanks so much Miller Light this time it's okay they've gone back up and I'll get my boxing right.
