Very special guest this morning good to see Heather.

Hi there guys good morning to you we are here in Waukesha Wisconsin and -- is really considered the heart of Republican politics in this state.

There will be a big rally for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan later today just a short distance from here and it's a really big homecoming of sorts for the Republican -- congressman.

From Janesville Wisconsin a lot of people are asking now is this a swing state it's one that Republicans have not carried.

I in the presidential race since 1984.

So it's a long time coming president Barack are -- -- Barack Obama actually.

I carried the state by about fourteen points during the 2000 election so here's the question.

What is it that Republicans need to do in this state and nationwide to win back the White House governor Scott Walker joins us now good morning governor should give thanks thanks for coming out here we sure appreciate it so get your reaction to congressman Paul -- be put on the ticket.

Well first up we're just thrilled valid because he's from Wisconsin but I think he does something you need you both.

Excites the base certainly before popped up in the state but I think all across America.

At the same time this is a guy who because the way he discusses big ideas the way he's willing to make tough decisions.

Actually I find is very appealing to independents he comes from a very much of a swing congressional district he comes from a swing state.

He's gonna do well here and -- he's -- to all across America.

Well according to some of our recent fox polls independence.

Mitt Romney not so strong with them.

As he was previously so how do you see Paul Ryan basically working with independents are trying to bring on -- -- well I think couple things one.

Just having renewed attention to Mitt -- the fact that this is it again you could be a turnaround agent you can bring America back.

He's got a great record in the private sectors got a great record -- deck GO turning around the Olympics and that is governor.

I think you know in the past a couple months we've seen a lot of attacks.

The president his campaign.

This is a renewed focus on the optimism moving this country ultimately -- the other thing with -- -- -- he's got a great way of explaining things I think that's what he does so well.

In a district that is so evenly divided he wins big time.

He's got urban rural suburban he's got a little bit of everything comfortable working class community.

And does exceptionally well because I think independents and even some discerning Democrats stressed and so is that the main thing that you think Paul Ryan brings to the table.

I do I mean I think he helps us -- here Wisconsin -- whether it's in Virginia or Ohio or Pennsylvania or Florida.

-- all across the country I think people expect.

A higher level of discourse.

We have not unfortunately CNET of the present campaign affect the running from their record because they're scared of the record.

Orion helps net revenue but the focus on thinking about the optimism.

The -- -- America for that will bring us back to Wisconsin actually edit it as honestly be a swing state in this election.

You know right after my election in June.

All right and I both welcomed in -- governor Mitt Romney.

And I sit at that time I thought was cuts it was a swing states for me to win and buy bigger margin and I did two years ago with more votes KS -- suggested that not just Republicans or conservatives.

The whole Lotta independent swing voters came our way.

Because they wanted leaders of the courage to -- to make tough decisions.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are exactly those kinds of leaders and Tokyo again -- -- Wisconsin but I think another swing states battleground states across America.

You faced a very heated recall election earlier this year basically taking on the unions.

How do you see that -- out this -- Well I think you're gonna see a combination of things I think certainly we saw here was -- -- probably true in other battleground states.

Re energizing the base that's where Paul -- first and foremost if you were excited about that but the I think we sought to win at least it was an answer for me to win.

I had to reach out to those swing undecided voters in there weren't many but to reach out and say.

Here's where we're gonna do moving forward -- we found not just of a point but in going.

Factory to factory town the towns or small the justices ruled this this was that people really were hungry for leadership.

There were hunger for people willing to leaders would tell the truth to that courageous decisions stick out their neck.

I think Paul exemplifies that and I think he helps Mitt Romney make the case that that's what Mitt Romney's done throughout his career and you'll be a great present.

At a super vice president Al Democrats are really looking act -- Paul Ryan's budget plan as red meat and they are anxious to go after that and the cuts that have been proposed.

How do you see them answering -- Well I think it's a great option to point out the hypocrisy mean.

President Obama is the only candidate in this race -- -- should cut money from Medicare 700 billion dollars under Obama care.

Paul Ryan and and in now with their governor Romney who really is gonna have a plan of his -- -- Paul's that are courage -- in the house but -- Is going to be Mitt Romney's budget -- is gonna help them out with that.

But you've got the Romney plan which is.

-- -- -- that's about preserving and protecting things like Medicaid and Medicare and other things out there.

They're just optimistic they can do it the way that are protected not just for today but for future generations.

I think it's a great contrast between really in the larger context to contact accurate color contrast between.

Barack Obama who believes in the solution or probably is more government.

Mitt Romney Paul Ryan and people like myself when it's less government by putting more power back in the hands of the people.

What do you see as -- as Paul Ryan's main theme coming forward.

Well I mean I think -- it's no question in the -- they said that's America's combat team I think YouTube now gets somewhat on the ticket with Mitt Romney.

Who's got the confidence in the capacity to really turn things around to not just talking I think a lot of people for years ago we're disappointed they thought that hope and change that that they're actually would be hope and change.

Already -- now he can get things done.

But what will be clouded -- the -- of days with the attacks but the record shows he can do what Democrats in the congress not just for Republicans.

That helps make the case that a Romney Ryan ticket -- November but in January and -- can actually get things done to turn America around.

Governor Scott Walker thank you so much and you'll be here for that rally later on tonight not too far from here that is what's going on here in Waukesha Wisconsin folks and where to had a back to you -- new York and will be here throughout the morning keeping you --
