Fox News alert on a developing story from the Middle East today Fox News is confirming that Israel's deputy foreign minister is now asking leading nations.

To give up their diplomatic efforts and to quote declare that the nuclear talks have failed.

This comes amid a new report in the last 44 hours at Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is close to ordering the military strike.

Against Iran's nuclear assets and now we are getting some feel for the timing of that.

John Bolton is the former US ambassador to the United Nations he's also a Fox News contributor.

And ambassador Bolton there was a frenzy of reports in the Israeli papers over the weekend.

Suggesting that mr.

Netanyahu -- had all but made the decision to launch an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities this fall.

Do you believe that's the case.

Well I don't really know one way or the other I think it's certainly significant that.

Deputy foreign minister Danny I alone made.

The statement that that the west should acknowledge that diplomacy has failed -- -- of former Israeli ambassador in Washington one of the best one of the most visible ambassadors that Israel's ever had in Washington.

So I think he knows the impact his remarks we'll have here in the United States and I have to say.

He is saying nothing more than the truth diplomacy by the -- didn't fail yesterday -- failed about ten years ago so.

The spotlight clearly now on Netanyahu in the Israeli government given that everyone believes the Obama administration's not -- -- use force against Iran's program.

But now.

It not only is is this deputy.

Foreign minister calling for this declaration that that that the talks have failed now we get.

You know mr.

Netanyahu's remarks seeming to get a little bit more bellicose and all these reports saying now they're getting ready to do it that the strike we've been discussing.

That it it could come as early as this fall that he's all but made the decision to attack Iran unilaterally.

This fall.

That you know we heard similar reports about possibly him doing it over the spring summer or summer here we are.

Mid August ambassador do you believe do you believe that Israel really is getting prepared for unilateral attack on -- on Iran this fall.

Well I certainly think they're getting prepared for an attack on the other hand I believe they should have done -- -- about three and a half years ago every day that goes by increases the risk.

That Iran already has nuclear weapons and that their response to any Israeli attack would be a nuclear response.

I think Israel has to be very concerned about tactical surprise against Iran there's -- strategic surprise here the -- Ryan's fully prepared.

For Israel to strike at some point.

But it doesn't but move Israel if it is on the verge of an attack to talk about it a lot publicly I think whatever tactical surprise you get you get by walling Tehran into thinking well maybe it's not today.

Well -- clearly gotten -- clearly not going that route.

That is a question about what really what we are doing or will do.

Because politically obviously that's not the position in which President Obama wants to beat having Israel Israel launch a unilateral attack.

On Iran prior to a presidential election.

And yet there was a report last week.

That the that the defense minister in Israel had confirmed.

That Barack Obama recently received a National Intelligence Estimate here within the United States.

On the Iranian nuclear program and that that internal report that our president received.

Shared Israel's view that Iran has made significant progress toward military nuclear capability and so it seems our president.

It now armed with the same information.

As Israel's leader is right now.

Right well there are not a couple things one Israel's press is very creative.

And and it's very exciting to read.

Then there's reality.

You know the president has not paid adequate attention to the Iran in threat for a long time and I think his political.

Handlers have made the calculation.

As most political.

Operatives do they don't want anything and foreign policy interfering with their election plan.

-- there are potential upsides for President Obama here as well and that is.

That he can put his arm around Israel if Israel does attack and said I was always there with you although we know in fact he hasn't been.

Nonetheless where I would come down is that the Obama White House wants to do anything possible to put this entire matter off.

Until sometime on November the seventh it's too risky for them to see an Israeli attack I think Israel on the other hand is gonna make a decision.

Based on hard calculations about its national interest and I do think that means the attack could come at any time.

-- And that's -- -- thank you thank you.
