-- -- Greg good morning -- aides to the Romney Ryan campaigns say that the vice presidential candidate will focus.

In his remarks here today at Lakewood high school on president Obama's energy record as Colorado has emerged as a leading producer in so called new energy.

And also it is the fifth -- accounts for 5% of America's natural gas production.

Congressman Ryan arrived at Denver International Airport yesterday and probably embarked.

On his first its missions in one of the crucial roles is expected to play in this campaign that a fund raiser he attended two events.

One held by a private equity firm owner the other by the head of united global -- the cable TV giant.

No word on how much these events brought in.

At the Iowa state -- yesterday Ryan's first solo campaign event the congressman was received by crowd of several thousand people including a few rather persistent hecklers.

Brian faltered in the beginning playing up his roots in neighboring Wisconsin in a way that didn't exactly light and he wants fire.

It and recovered with a joke about the president's supposed penchant for left turns.

The candidate never seen more comfortable than when he talked policy including energy policy.

We have energy in this country.

Let's use that energy in this country.

Everything renewable -- -- mask nuclear -- you know what oil and gas that she has let's get it let's not keep buying it from other countries.

In short congressman Ryan remains very much -- candidate still warming to his role.

A strange hybrid of resident it intellectual on fiscal policy and of course the traditional role of -- vice presidential candidate that of chief attack -- Martha.

Yeah so that James is a story out there this morning that quote some unnamed Republicans and strategists.

Questioning the Paul Ryan kicks in if they're nervous about it what are you hearing about that.

Well there are some conservatives who would have preferred to see Marco Rubio the Florida senator on the ticket.

The Romney campaign argues that the number one issue facing the country right now is our economy.

And particularly our debt or fifteen trillion dollar debt and that on that issue.

There is no one's safe for governor Romney himself of course who's better equipped to lead the nation.

Asked for the matter of foreign policy that just presents a tougher issue.

For the campaign to address in terms of congressman Ryan's experience as for Ryan's boats on the auto bailout -- the TARP bailout which some conservatives have been citing.

A rising to Ryan's defense last night.

Was the top house Republican during an appearance with on the record with Greta Van Susteren.

I think that he's a practical.
