If you think that Casey Anthony not guilty verdict was a shock I've got news for you.

It could happen again this time in the Drew Peterson murder trial.

Drew Peterson you know the ex cop the guy who made history with -- is dead -- vanishing third and fourth wives.

Well tonight on justice I'm going to tell you why that just might happen again.

I was in Chicago Joliet to be exact during week two of the trial I watched in disbelief.

As the Illinois state police declared that Kathleen -- deal.

Down -- bathtub was the victim.

Of an accident.

A woman whose hair is so good -- Lying face down in the bathtub.

With none of the little -- on the edge of the tub disturbed.

-- no brain no -- -- in the top.

Note how all know clothes on the edge of the tub -- -- within minutes of there are rival.

This state -- from Illinois say that it's an accident.

The lead investigator.

Directed that no one process to -- Now what does that mean that means don't take fingerprints don't know what all the area for blood.

Don't process that can't have run cleaner that was found right here the bedroom.

That the CSI guys didn't even see and don't check every room for any signs of forced entry.

And even though they're worth thirteen separate bruises including a three inch bruise to the bought up Kathleen savvy -- Which the CSI investigators said he didn't see at the time he declared the bruises to be insignificant.

Well good -- Sherlock there didn't even bother to examine a two -- -- and Kathleen said.

When he was a lot of bleeding after because when they took her out of the -- we got a lot of blood all over.

He didn't even look.

To see where the blood was coming from.

And they were out of there in record time.

It's as if they said.

Enough about the dead let's attend to the living.

A spokesperson for the family of missing Stacy Peterson agrees.

A corner who was.

There and observe something that was really not right he didn't say -- and he was overrated and then you have also -- state police officer who.

Didn't really give a -- And if that doesn't convince you that the Illinois state police were so what net so disengaged.

So brutally.

In different.

To a dead woman in a bathtub.

Try this one on for size.

In Chicago when a fellow officer could very well be charged with murder.

Is allowed to sit in on the interview with the very woman who would provide his alibi for the day that the third wife died.

The picture this one.

He's got one arm on her shoulder he's got one hand on -- by guarding her.

And he actually answers questions put to her by the troopers.

And when Chicago they call this professional courtesy.

And other parts of the country we call it something else.

I'd call it a cover -- Don't get me wrong I love cops but what these guys did was inexcusable.

Now if you think the trial is a search for the truth you're wrong I know I've been a prosecutor judge and the DA.

It's the criminal justice system's attempt to make -- defendant look is good -- can't.

While making the victim's life an open book.

Judges spend their day deciding whether the jury can hear all of the truth.

And witnesses are told that they cannot say all of the truth -- sample.

I can kill you and make it look like an accident but only.

I can kill you is allowed in.

-- Let's go back to the courtroom.

Judge Bruno -- courtroom.

-- Melo won't allow the prosecution to present evidence that Drew Peterson.

On trial for the murder of his third wife killer because they didn't want her to get his money in the financial settlement.

Remember she's found dead six days after a subpoena for drew his -- is served on him.

And Peterson -- worried she'd never get any of -- pension.

And by the way as an aside the year before drew his child support.

Was doubled within days he shows up in his swat uniform with a knife to Kathleen -- asking why don't you just -- Take a listen to Kathleen sister and brother.

She tell me she would never make the divorce she would never live to see the end in divorce second third person.

Saying kill you make -- the -- the accident that's not a coincidence.

Well this week I told you how judge -- allow the defense to -- the victim every name in the book.

From a man woman a woman possessed very angry -- -- woman it was ballistic conquers crazy.

This week the subjects of the defense diversion or Kathleen his friends her sister the people reported that -- would kill her.

And make it look like an accident they were -- lambasted.

By the defense for not intervening -- for not stopping it remember.

It's everyone's fault but Drew Peterson.

Take a look at this one.

Harder to believe anything she's dead.

And then when she thought she was in trouble she started crying.

Absolutely.

If you can make others look bad then the criminal Walt looks so bad.

And finally the blue towel.

Think you know -- towel as the right to remain silent.

Yes you heard me right at Powell -- the right to remain silent in judge for -- courtroom they do.

The prosecution is not being allowed to show the Drew Peterson could have placed the towel by the body.

One -- was there according to the first five or six witnesses and saw the body.

The DA says the scene was staged to look like an accident.

Should be allowed to present testimony that it -- wasn't there suddenly shows up when someone says why is there -- -- -- Why is a prosecution not being allowed to prove its case the burden of proof is on man.

They need to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt let them do their -- And we don't need to sanitize the facts to do so tips the scale against the person.

Who's paid the dearest price the person who never chose to be a victim in the first place.

And now with the center of this drama are the lawyers Peterson's lawyers Joseph Brodsky Joseph Lopez and Steve Greenberg who -- their client.

Are cocky confident and brash.

They pull no punches -- often politically incorrect and they litigate both in and out of the courtroom.

Take a look at this one.

Thank goodness -- -- factor -- Who fifty feet -- -- Stacey will they zero G I'm equipment.

OK okay they -- yet.

Well but she shows up huge.

Maybe I shows how she got his color if you got just that and then you really think he'd be -- life.

I absolutely absolutely she's alive course.

Does anybody have any -- she's.

No.

There's no sign of life and he hasn't sneaking in and anybody know he's heard -- currently no sign I have not talked to my wife and weeks that.

Actually I haven't talked to my first I -- -- fifteen years.

When we come back to Peter.
