Kind -- gets back we'll hit.

Obama is in the key battleground state of I'll up.

He's wrapping up a three day tour as we get new word that the president's reelection campaign is mobilizing an army of staffers and volunteers to go after congressman Paul Ryan's budget.

Plan in key swing states this is clearly becoming 1 of the central -- of this campaign.

Both sides are working it hard chief whitehouse correspondent Ed -- -- -- riding along with the Obama campaign is live in Dubuque Iowa.

New strategy really on Medicare.

In terms of what the campaign is to flying today at good morning.

Good morning -- you're right I mean look.

The Obama campaign believes that Paul Ryan is a target rich environment basically and that they're gonna pick off individual pieces of the Ryan budget plan.

As you save Medicare focus obviously in states like Florida.

And -- he's gonna turn into a voucher program you're gonna hear the Romney campaign push back and say they're trying to save Medicare.

Now the Obama camp saying they're gonna go into more battlegrounds here in the midwest like Ohio focusing on other veterans benefits being cut.

Focusing on education cuts and -- here in -- we saw the president over the last a couple of days.

Focusing in on a wind energy tax credit.

That he supports governor Romney congressman Ryan do not support it's gonna be expiring soon and there are some high profile Republicans here in Iowa who do support.

This tax credit and so the president decided to beat up on the ticket the Republican ticket yesterday and for good measure throw and a little swipe at that old story about governor Romney putting his dog Seamus on top of the -- -- During a speech a few months ago governor Romney even explain his energy policy that -- that you said you can't drive a car with a windmill on.

That's -- about when are you can't drive a car.

-- -- -- -- -- -- just don't -- what do you think the other group.

A.

Fired up that.

Fired at the -- a little bit with that joke the Romney campaign wasn't laughing they put out a statement basically saying that they thought this was a new low in the middle of all kinds of other.

Negative attacks they've seen.

Up from the Obama camp and they believe that those kind of swipes are an attempt by the Obama camp to focus on side issues rather than the bigger issues like the economy and jobs market.

Things are clearly heating -- out there and today the president has at a rare guest we're hearing at it.

To some of his appearances there his fat.

That's right -- the big gun First Lady Michelle Obama she's not out here on the trail with the president very often it's been at least.

A couple of months since they've been out here together look she helped draw bigger crowds.

Her approval ratings and -- like ability ratings are better than his I remember seeing the same thing the Bush Administration.

George W.

Bush to bring out Laura Bush at key moments look the First Lady can add a little softer touch to the president's hard -- rhetoric out here on the trail.

And also she's just a popular figure out here so it helps like if they bring in.

Bigger crowds and the fact of the matter is he's fighting for the six electoral votes he won Iowa pretty big.

Four years ago right now he's locked in a 5050 battle basically when you look at some local polls against Mitt Romney in a close race we're trying to get 270 electoral votes.

Every single electoral vote matters so even the State's six electoral votes it awarded the attention this president to be here for three full days that's a lot of time for three -- -- Lot of campaign time spent there and now on the area's history there's a point out people tend to like as First Lady is better that presidents like I sat there.

They can add -- to CF 870.

It's funny how words like that yeah.
