The fraud issue is a very major issue in other words.
You've got a situation now where they're going to be millions of people submitting a massive amounts of documents to the department of homeland security and basically saying.
Here documents that prove my residency my time of entry and things of that nature and the Department of Homeland Security is going to be confronted with an immense bureaucratic obstacle to process all of these applications in a relatively short amount of time.
They may not be equipped to sniff out the fraud in every case.
It's.
Undocumented immigrants began lining up Tuesday night in cities around the country and basically filling out these applications that the way.
Deportation for at least two years application cost 465 bucks.
-- you have to have either -- high school diploma vocational training or military service.
And show that you -- entered the US before turning sixteen.
And that you've lived in this country for five consecutive years and you don't have -- criminal record.
And -- you heard some concerns about the paperwork and how that'll all be verified quickly we're back with panel and cures and it begins today -- -- -- -- -- timing process for one thing that he -- that President Obama.
Suddenly has taken an interest in in this after saying he was gonna take care of this his first.
-- and now -- for reelection suddenly this is since the expediting mess.
I personally think these tables should be given amnesty exactly -- as Ronald Reagan did I think for a 65 dollars a lot of money for somebody who is.
Pretty -- probably.
And you know if this is the best that Obama can do I'll take it but I I think it's pretty weak jobs.
Constitutionally it's an abomination.
Politically it's a stroke of genius.
The star on the policy itself you can argue it either way it is clearly completely lawless.
This is the DREAM Act which that the senate had considered in 2010.
And rejected.
In acted unilaterally.
By the executive.
That is not how it's supposed to be done in a constitutional democracy.
And Obama knew that and the timing is of course for -- this and obviously it's cynical.
He -- could've done this in January of 2011 but he did.
Because it is a stroke of genius right now we were looking at all the lies with the kids who -- lined up.
You know attractive -- kids they obviously live in neighborhoods with other.
I'm sure a lot of them with the other immigrants many of whom are citizens legally here.
Vote there's all -- excitement there's all this -- on the ground it's as if you had people canvassing these neighborhoods.
And essentially.
Do the ground game on behalf of Obama if you surely gonna help them.
And it is surely something that does that you shouldn't do.
Under our system as to whether it's a good idea there's a long argument about that we had anything congress and Obama had lost but he doesn't care.
Steve well I think there's also political downside in this community it is true than in strife at first question is this is obviously.
Politically helpful to the president but it over time I think that there's maybe a wearing away of the way the people see the president this was the president who came to office -- was gonna change the way Washington works and he was sincere he wasn't going to be doing this now we have governing -- gave away.
And anytime he needs anything he just comes up with a new -- -- whether it's student loans or about conference on women held at the White House.
Or on his trip -- -- you know on the we have these suddenly we have this this report from the Energy Department about the importance of wind tax credits.
You have these other give way -- 170 million dollars for farmers and -- wherever he goes.
He just gives people stuff now taxpayers understand that they have to pay for that ultimately there's no government money tree.
Taxes actually come from someplace.
I think of the more you see this kind of stood naked.
Bob politicization.
Of these kinds of programs and the more that that could have a long term effect.
Quickly the voter ID issue in Pennsylvania account will judge -- voted our.
Ruled that -- preliminary injunction to stop the State's new voter ID law he did not grant that so.
Basically the voter ID law can go forward and he said a folder right -- reasonable and -- they don't have one they can vote -- provisionally or absentee.
How does that factor here's.
Well it -- to listen to what's his name might turn is he's a Pennsylvania house majority leader he was bragging that this is gonna help Romney.
Win Pennsylvania which is the whole point is despite all the claims that this is all about voter fraud this is actually -- national asked -- To suppress the democratic vote.
Except that Supreme Court ruled in 1998.
-- in 2008.
In decision written by John Paul Stevens a liberal hero.
-- -- completely and utterly constitutional.
The case is closed there's nothing surprising in this ruling today.
