And welcome back to Hannity now before I went fishing with Vice President Cheney we both -- -- on the rivers with the rivers of recovery cruel now wanted to get some pointers and hear more about the amazing work they do.

To help injured combat vets now each of us was in a boat.

With one combat vet who was new to the program and also a guy who had gone through this years ago.

-- story is amazing.

-- sort.

-- got injured when.

You -- in Iraq and used part of the invasion force in Iraq right.

Went to the program came back and a couple of weeks and volunteered because you know I got so much out of it.

And Gaza so much has it taken yet let's -- -- there no less than that ever.

No less than that right.

And so I mean out of the rocket.

You know about a month after I went to the program came back and volunteers -- instructing.

Plot like down.

Flight time and fly casting to other disabled vets right.

And taking them on fishing trips you had your way would you do this permanently absolutely.

Of course I would.

It this is my office this.

-- does getting better than I -- so I agree with us elsewhere tropical system video -- an embryo that about the the -- being the best office absolutely.

It doesn't work to -- about everything in life and yeah exactly that's why that's so awesome for guys with PTS you know because once you're out here.

It gives you perspective exactly.

Who he could see why so therapeutic for the mind right right you're Iraq 2009 -- 20092010.

We were attacked were ambushed we got out.

Returned fire ahead -- my cartilage.

Community reminding myself that on -- ball on the fault but when you first value what you might have been shot right.

Biden come back with this experience and share with someone else you.

Hasn't had the opportunity to have suffered from TT -- Writing.

Missile as it just -- little push just to go ahead and get involved right.

And I I think this guy's -- -- done for his service number one and for doing what you're doing.

You know returning.

What you've been given -- do.

It's very very good -- How how rewarding is -- -- -- would this -- you know it's Austin and sauces and like him.

You know like we have guys that come out that are.

You know haven't been out of their house in three years you know -- for some reason.

Something to hold them to come -- come out here hands.

You know and I believe they talk about how they're gonna go have a moment.

And take -- -- now you know that the key is it's just I just getting these guys out outside you know.

I only people realize that it's an epidemic that is an epidemic you know these guys come back they.

We invest so much of them and then I couldn't help they need the good thing about this is like me it's normal.

Exactly and so -- like the therapy is they -- and you don't even realize you know.

It's so much better I think he just -- to talk about it you know that thing about the TS is that it's not visible so.

Well is that this is that would it is some injuries invisible so -- -- it's desert there really isn't any differences are -- at all and no one wants to admit that they had some sort of mental issue.

No one does -- you know and I don't see how anyone it can be exposed.

To the things that we are exposed to you and not come back.

With some sort of issue do you -- do you agree that it does it make -- a little less stronger you know what it used to you but.

-- I mean.

It now it doesn't and I -- I feel like I'm stronger now because I admit it right you know because not like -- like I've I've.

The come to know myself.

And you know.

What I've been I don't know it was the vice president well.

We -- -- did.

You know talking of these guys and.

We -- we just talking about although they go through how hard it is and it's almost like -- we forget as a country.

That the depth of the sacrifice.

And then what they come back with -- they deal with the rest of their lives even in your meet a lot of these guys well let's.

-- in this such a great program and a and it's always a privilege for me to get out get a chance to finish efficient -- in last -- well degree program -- and I can't think of have you seen the change in these guys when they're out -- well and I was when I was vice president we've to have the guys down from Bethesda you know.

Healing waters program which -- similar -- rivers of recovery.

And come down and bring their gear down and spent an afternoon.

With the captain who organized -- and so forth you could use some of those lessons.

And thanks -- yeah.

It's true though I -- listen it's a fantastic and now it's my favorite part of the whole world.

And there's nothing that he can do and this in the day it was good guys on the river.

-- -- fly rod.

It's refreshing and I did a couple times it was kind of gets off that in your case it was a merry go -- -- Washington.

The one thing I could do that was totally absorbing.

So whatever -- you had about a day to day stuff goes away they didn't body out here you think that's why this is so effective.

Yeah.

You couldn't do it well you've really got to work can contact Erica.

Mirror in the business.

Have that.

-- -- Great program.

You know when I first went to Walter Reed in and Bethesda.

And and we did all these concerts I think -- told you about them.

Is you kind of walk I walk out of there kind of embarrassed.

Because you know you think you have a lot of problems of life and then you know I met this one guy -- -- -- you'll never forget it lost one leg.

And they literally were trying to grow bone.

You know and he's got rods this -- And hall's legs holes in his legs and then trying to bring it in the ended up he lost that -- to.

There were trying really hard to save it.

-- and they think about the little things that bother you annoy you frustrate you in that you think -- problems and it's just doesn't really compare those.

It's.

And --
