Anderson thanks very much for joining integrated equity Carl welcome to the -- -- campaign -- officially through fox and -- and not.

I apologize until you hear -- here eventually didn't legalize it caught on a year ago that this would be you.

No I didn't actually need you here here are good prognosticator.

So now -- even -- for the whole week.

Are you experienced enough to step into the Oakland case mr.

-- -- Saddam Mitt Romney went out of selected me to be his running mate if that wasn't the case I would not an accepted.

His imitation and joined the ticket -- -- was not the case you know that here at the villages are Republicans and he's so yeah I know and up 42 -- even -- being President Obama when he took over.

Well I've been in congress for fourteen years I've been involved in working on leading this country to gets back to work.

Your budget balancing and give this debt under control.

And I'm excited joined the Romney Ryan -- because Mitt Romney is providing leadership that is sorely needed to get people back to work and I'm excited to be a part of that.

You -- -- your -- -- books upon you throw line.

Tell us what they said they persuaded that you won't end Medicare as we know yeah Democrats say it -- always rated the why of the year last year -- -- -- fact.

People are gonna see through all this look the president can't run on his record to bad record.

The president -- 716.

Billion dollars.

From Medicare to pay for obamacare.

So that's -- -- the president -- wanna talk about that's why I think he's resorted.

To a campaign out of hope and change anymore but you know blame attack smear fear so I don't think people Agassi -- this I think.

The positive vision that we are offering the country to get people back to work.

The shore up Medicare are the kinds of things that they weren't gonna vote for this fall because it I don't think they're gonna accept the -- leadership they seem to last -- -- -- Coming opposition says wait a minute Paul Ryan talked about taking 700 billion dollar plus out of -- in terms of you ending waste fraud and abuse and -- programs so tell us hypocritical of them.

We voted repeatedly.

In the house before and after the budget to repeal all of -- -- including this raid on the Medicare program.

The Democrats argue that your first proposal.

Would completely change Medicare as we know it by replacing it with -- -- for service voucher -- and stuff.

Now it's an alternate -- a choice.

You walk us through the process of changing it because mr.

Romney objected to the first one and yes it wasn't a choice -- was that would change your mind Norton Mitt Romney came all his Medicare reform plan first before we -- in the house.

Com but as -- as we.

Got intend looking at this issue talking with Democrats.

It evolves to be a planet is -- bipartisan.

Thought this through Medicare reform plan originated in the Clinton bipartisan commission to save Medicare.

It's a bill with bipartisan support.

Proposal a bipartisan support in congress today.

And what Mitt Romney is talking about.

He's making sure that we keep the Medicare program intact for people who -- in or near retirement.

In preventing this raid that -- -- put on the program to pay for obamacare repealing obamacare.

We can restore Medicare.

And also we are offering a bipartisan solution ensures they -- for future retirees when they retire is it.

Not the case though there are some things that Republicans are now proposing.

That they -- in the past and the Democrats are now proposing things that they -- in the -- a little bit of Ebola like this or does it look look we're offering leadership.

We're offering solutions.

The president is not the president has a failed economic agenda point three million people are still looking for work.

-- -- 16 people in poverty today unemployment is noted above 8% for 42 months.

This not a record he can run and that's why he's.

You know basically don't relegated -- campaign to division frustration and anger.

We're offering solutions -- the kinds of solutions we're offering him origins from bipartisan -- like Medicare commission that Clinton set up in 1999.

The tax reforms were talking about getting rid of loopholes lower the bit -- the -- the rates.

Create job President Obama called -- fairy -- today since more trickle down Republican.

Promises to pass it didn't work very foot.

I think the president's gonna keep trying to divide people in this campaign to try and score points to win this election it's not gonna work it's the economy's not growing like it needs to.

What Mitt Romney and are proposing is to plug those special interest loopholes that make everybody else's tax rates higher.

-- to lower tax rates for everyone small businesses families that's how you create jobs tax reform and it's at Texas and -- simple.

Fair and competitive he's learning.

Key ingredients to create economic growth and job creation that's part of the Mitt Romney's plan for a stronger middle class.

As Democrats try to attack your integrity on this by saying that well you.

Also you -- you oppose the stimulus package he signed a couple of letter asking for stimulus projects and that therefore you were.

Against it while you -- for -- for a while you were against it.

-- -- Sure so my office sends tens of thousands of letters to various federal agencies this went through what we call -- casework system.

Where was treated as a -- -- request for constituents I take full responsibility for it.

-- -- my intention to send letters supporting stimulus but this doesn't change the fact that.

Stimulus was and was a bombing didn't work it was a boondoggle it borrowing and spending.

Spending money on things like -- -- That does not create jobs owner Richard Anderson the CMX in the past there's been Republicans who said look I'm against earmarks but -- this bill was gonna happen earmarks in it I'm gonna bring -- some -- mind.

Right so I didn't know about those letters until very recently when they're brought to my attention because they went -- our constituent casework system I take full responsibility for that.

The point I'm trying to make use.

The stimulus was a failure it was prop eight the president promised that stimulus if it was passed from prevent unemployment from getting ever above 8%.

It's an above 8% 42 months he was -- Borrowing.

And spending and giving up to cronies like Solyndra that did not work to create jobs in meanwhile we have economic stagnation.

That's why the wrong Ryan plan for a stronger middle class are the kinds of things you need to do to create jobs.

Higher take home pay more jobs.

Faster economic growth so we're offering solutions.

And the reason the stimulus didn't work as I mentioned at the time to pass was it's it's bad economics doesn't work.

All these -- is coming out of Washington is not a way to grow the economy if borrowing and spending and taxing and regulating -- the secret to economic growth.

America elementary -- and golden age along -- -- Even even Democrats begrudgingly give you props for being a budget -- and we've talked over the years and we re talking about how when he refused to -- budgets because you had numbers.

So.

So quickly and Syria.

Civilians get wiped out 110 in serious trouble what's wrong with the president's policy.

Plus think he was linked to it I think he was late to have to speak forcefully to pronounce our values.

The char -- is butchering his own people.

Thanks so I think we relate to helping the opposition I do what they need to do two to get this dictator out of there.

That the way I would say about foreign policy is not been in congress for a number of years puts more experience than Barack Obama had when he came in office.

-- -- voted to send people wore what would you say to Russia and China -- their refusal of the US Security Council to actually post seriously it's not now -- this this.

Is a testament and the fact that the reset with Russia was a failure.

Our relationship -- the rusher is weaker not stronger look at what the frustrations were getting -- Security Council from Russia to begin with.

So I think this is a -- of the fact that the Obama strategy in this Russia reset.

Has it worked and I share the philosophy of with Mitt Romney.

That we need the cash for -- long relationships with our allies our adversaries you know that we have strong resolve.

And we adopt the philosophy.

Of peace to -- strong national defense that's the kind of foreign policy partial we need to have a strong America.

And we think president Obama's foreign policy has is really how all that out is it feasible to twist China's arms either on cereal or just don't -- -- so much of Georgia.

Well that's part of the problem.

China holds so much of -- debt.

Forty cents of every dollar that government spends today is borrowed money almost half of that money has -- from foreign countries.

So because of the president's agenda.

A big deficits trillion dollar deficits every year because of the president's agenda -- not even offering a plan to get this deficit under control.

The senate hasn't passed a budget in three years.

That makes us more dependent upon China.

To float their -- really get spending under control -- get this deficit under control -- -- more independent as a country.

Because the more we rely on countries like China.

To cash flow our government and our deficits the last plot we have on foreign policy China has been stealing our intellectual property.

They're denying access to their markets for our products we need to be firm we didn't strong and we need to operate -- a position of shrinks.

And we keep relying on all these -- -- governments to lend us their money that makes it hard for us to be a strong nation.

What movies -- the -- -- -- wind now supports the running position recovery friend Clinton also trying to.

In the past few frankly been reluctant about it and said well you know maybe that's not the way to do business with them because they hold so much of -- -- Well that was -- the reason I've I've always been a free trader -- free trade is necessary.

For peace and prosperity but also let's be fair trade.

And I've always been a strong advocate of making sure.

That we hold our trading partners to account when they're not giving us fair reciprocal treatment like we give them.

So to me this is perfectly consistent with what -- I've always believe what the kind of leadership Mitt Romney's offering which is.

If our trading partners are holding up their end of the bargain you have to hold them to account that's what Mitt Romney's proposing what's the biggest thing that surprised you the last seven days of the these crowds are huge they're enormous and the the enthusiasm I'm getting more energy on this -- It's very exciting and you know what meant -- and I have been so gracious with our family that's been really something.

We have you know young kids you see my kids here's your grandkids are grandkids he's going to tonight -- -- -- and thanks so I've just been really -- and I just really delighted at how they've opened up their arms and their family and they just through integration.

Having been the budget -- -- -- you can call the ideological.

Intellectual.

-- out of the new Republican Party.

How do you now hold all of these sort of grounding and -- under the rock you Rupert uses diseases is -- -- -- stuff in there because you've got we obviously have to adjust to be is running it.

Talk about the transition just emotionally intellectually even go on no sleep -- few meals and run run run run run.

Go ahead we'll look.

I'm during the Romney Ryan take it.

And the reason rip -- asked me to join the ticket is -- you said you share my values.

And he had the kind of experience that complements my experience to get things done to execute.

What Mitt Romney and done throughout our careers as we've applied the same principles.

To solving problems.

I'm excited to follow his lead to be on his team.

And it and it pursue and agenda where we obviously agree on a huge difference here.

He's between the Romney Ryan vision strong -- in the plan for strong middle class and the Obama vision.

Which is more government more regulations more taxing more spending more deficits more debt less jobs more of the same.

We're gonna stand for that we're gonna get -- of the country -- very clear choice.

-- they get people back to work -- -- -- -- people out of poverty -- get -- idea back on track here's how you keep the country strong.

-- he's -- in congress and Washington have a lot longer you are -- -- prepping for the square off today I don't go on time we've always got along I've been doing this for a while myself and in the house -- do a lot of debate so we debate.

Daily with each other more than again when the senate.

So you think he got him pretty much on the Mo hey don't know -- I don't look at it like that way I'm I'm eager to have this conversation.

This is a very clear choice -- -- futures the contrast couldn't be brighter I'm excited about highlight those streets to get to -- be called radical extremist -- -- -- -- -- -- -- I think I'm a happy person I don't I don't really angry I have I have -- kind of demeanor.

And -- -- this.

A variety of -- -- -- villages yeah CS Lewis -- Mexico.
