A good morning Eric thank you for having me you know -- you know snap Election Day is going to be nuts it's going to be a madhouse you know most people showing ups and I don't know -- -- -- -- my voter -- I don't have an idea I left my driver's license and on I gotta go stand back online again -- -- wanna do that.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- Well we have in Pennsylvania for our new voter ID law and extensive voter education campaign and facts we think it is unprecedented.

We will be spending five million dollars to educate visitors.

By television radio web mailing every single voter household in the state.

A postcard mailing informing them about the new -- and telling them.

The kinds of IDs they can use on Election Day and just as important if they don't have an idea that they can use an Election Day where they can get one for free.

So the election is still two and -- half months away it's honey it's time for people to learn about the law.

And it's certainly funny time for people to get an idea of voting purposes if in fact they don't have it well you know what opponents say -- -- opponents say it's a Republican plot.

To stop people from -- That I say that's it that's absurd what this voter ideal -- does it what voter ID laws in other states have done.

Is enhance confidence in our election results that it provides a sense of fairness.

And integrity in our elections.

So anyone that says that voter -- suppresses -- vote for example which is what you said earlier.

I think that's -- that's just ridiculous.

In Pennsylvania the polling going on voter ID shows widespread support in our state for our voter ID law.

A well over 60% in some polls 70%.

Normal people understand that this is the right thing to do.

By the ACLU and others who want to court -- now appealing judge Simpson's ruling.

And the main -- -- -- and the ACLU case was at 93 year old woman they have yet Applewhite.

In the interviews leading up to this case and in her testimony she said that she wasn't going to be able to vote.

The fact here's a quote from this Applewhite.

A week ago she said.

I'm stock you -- they really got me over a barrel they did it for one reason she says to replace Obama too many black people can vote.

She didn't have ID she said she couldn't get on the used to use that she was being discriminated against and then on Friday.

What happened she walks in and gets one she has a photo ID now that happened.

Martin Luther King walked into one of our driver's license center and with ease.

Walked out with an idea that -- can use for voting purposes and anybody show that.

Anyone can do that and in fact well over 4000 -- for voting purposes have been issued to folks all across Pennsylvania.

Since the law was passed and signed into law -- march 14.

We have had hardly any problems whatsoever so if the lead plaintiff against voter ID can with these get an -- for voting purposes.

Surely anyone else can all right Shannon -- the deputy secretary of state of Pennsylvania.
