Morning and a top political commentator has suggested that a double standard exists in the media's handling of Joseph Biden is controversial.

Peggy Noonan says that it would be a whole different ball game -- congressman Paul Ryan had made that remark listen.

That had been a Republican vice presidential candidate who had made those -- one after another so comically and all on tape.

This subject today of the panel would be how stupid is this person can this person possibly.

Governor.

You know Joseph Biden is an American politician he's been around forever he's a big -- -- warm.

Flashy person to person -- That has a certain power and he can play this sort of -- old grand fatherly thing who everybody thinks he's gonna make fifteen mistakes but he says two or three a -- things -- it can work in a debate.

-- interest and so -- the Obama campaign as you know has refused to apologize.

For the vice president's comments they reiterated that over the weekend -- does look -- what the vice president said.

Speaker Boehner even Paul Ryan have been traveling in this country talking about the need to unshackled the private sector -- on shackle the financial industry.

And that the vice president was just taking that metaphor.

A step further and talking about wanting to put other people and shackles and the word that he used chains is a distraction.

From the larger argument.

Naturally the big difference change shackles and chains as is his -- is pretty much the same actors in power joins me now.

Daily Beast columnist and Fox News contributor Tony say is a Republican political analyst and a national political correspondent for talk radio news service welcome to -- the view.

-- -- let me start with you -- -- you -- it you know would this be a completely different story -- Paul Ryan had said that.

Of course she's absolutely right it's not just -- -- pays right that you would be how dumb is this person but even worse it would be.

It's -- says it's race monger saying hey it would be it would ever -- would be hysterical about it there's such a clear double standard.

And -- the Obama campaign doesn't need to apologize for it because the media doesn't really care in a -- -- -- and from that from the very beginning with Biden have been.

Willing to look the other way on all of that you know sometimes they're kind of wacky things -- sometimes -- things that are just actually completely inaccurate.

That if someone else for examples therapy he Allen had said.

Would have been evidence of house how stupid she adds yeah.

In I mean it does raise some questions and Rudy Giuliani raises question Tony over the weekend as well you know I mean.

Does is he credible -- the -- the biggest thing about a vice president right the most serious thing that any voter has to decide.

Is if something god forbid were to happen to the president what I feel comfortable with this man in charge.

What's the problem now Martha is that these gaps which at some point in his career were almost comical made you feel almost endeared to him -- he does have that kind of you know all -- show mentality and image especially among a Washington press corps that's known for thirty years and actually really personally likes them.

But now all of a sudden you're starting to see these -- have a lot more meaning.

When you tell a predominantly African American audience that your opponents -- Republican opponents want to put you back in chains.

That's -- on mistake double play.

At the worst kind of politics and racial division.

That our country -- -- in a very long time coming from a man who really should know better and that's the exact problem do you want this person.

A heart -- away from the presidency so the cumulative effect of his gaffes are really begin to catch up with them that exact same day by the way mark -- Joseph Biden was in a diner in that same town in Virginia and basically lied to a -- -- who he told he would not make any changes to Social Security whatsoever.

Well he's part of a group that's in the process of making changes to Social Security because the trustees gave me a report April but said they had two or else disability funding.

We're not -- points sixteen so.

These are substantive gaps not just -- -- It you know you think about that Ryan and Biden match up because that's what people will see and I and -- -- the question of -- you are also voting for a vice president and -- voting for that person that you feel you would have the most confidence and if something would happen to -- to the president he what do you think that matchup what is that debate look like -- It's it's hard to predict -- do you think the Republicans are making a mistake by.

Going after by the in this way because they're lowering expectations now so much that all yes do is come in and be this sort of semi serious and I think health you know be considered to have I have one.

The debate in at Indiana that -- -- Very few people actually vote based on who's at the bottom of the tickets so.

Sounding pretty spectacularly.

Bad would have to happen -- -- Biden's actually a fact Obama's reelect me.

-- raises a good point I mean if Joseph Biden goes in there and he does have the incumbency on his side he's the vice president of the United States and people do.

And respect that office if if he just started it and doesn't make -- isn't that.

Is that going to be enough quarantines -- it's a very good point exceeding expectations sometimes is enough to just come out on top but -- where I think you have in this case is a very serious pick and Paul Ryan I actually think.

Paul Ryan was specifically consider for this role.

Because they understood there would be a double standard and analyzing these two guys and Ryan is so articulate for two years has done the lion share of defending and promoting.

The budget of the Republicans in congress that he is prepared for the type of double standard I think.

Much better -- perhaps a sour -- was in 2008 he's not going to fold.

In the -- lights of of of the big league series and step up to the plate and ended up with think Tony thanks so much Christine great to see past.

Thank you want to.
