Bring India political panel with me in the studio here is John -- co president and CEO monthly income -- to -- you don't think you are joining us from DC carried -- stop right there with The Washington Times -- to -- -- carried.
Gonna be here and the magic cat fight is not long that reflexively.
We think.
Of Republicans is having a good.
-- in but up Paul Ryan and apple run in particular I thought today.
On the stump Mitt Romney seemed to me making a pretty good faced a bit of a right.
On the yeah I think this is a great way for.
He a Republican Party to really get out there on the stump and finally start going on this but think what -- been calling for years the third rail of politics.
Look it.
And to really break down this 700.
-- billion dollars that's been cut from on Medicare to go towards Obama care.
You get about 400 billion dollars on that 700 billion dollars has has it actually comes out of the a -- goes towards doctors' fees.
And and and towards hospitals is the reason why a lot of doctors are not accepting medi care anymore about a 150 billion does of and that about 700 endowed.
Billion dollars is actually cut from Medicare part.
So this is one of those things that.
I'm Obama can say well you know this is what we're doing to streamline things and so on so forth.
But look even and Obama's own book under a -- give hope he said that Medicare was broken.
And this is -- reason why.
Things are being -- -- -- the -- -- -- essentially kicking the can down the road he doesn't want take responsibility for let's face it Medicare is gonna be but essentially broke.
In the next ten years.
-- well yeah I think Mitt Romney must be contagious because Paul Ryan is flip flopping and a big big way he supported you the exact same -- they're not even actually there to simply cuts in the rate of growth.
By Paul Ryan's logic if these are -- spent his cuts amount to trillions of he has a supposed savings from his plan.
We are we would love to have a debate about Medicare and they're look there needs to be some restructure Medicare is scored at least for the cost.
What Paul Ryan is doing I was saying.
Well here's a voucher.
Go ahead and buy your health insurance service that -- which is exactly what somebody is 85 and diabetes and chronic conditions wants to do they wanna go out shopping for insurance.
He turned -- from a defined benefit into a voucher to be like -- I -- you.
Hey here's here's a ten dollar voucher for -- -- -- right split it up having fun will you you wouldn't be able to afford it and that's exactly what's gonna happen.
We have -- -- that it doesn't that affect anybody over the age of fifty fives -- but it isn't somebody.
Yeah I'm still basically -- it's getting rid of Medicare as we know what for those under fifty -- no no but you see those under 55.
Will actually be able to prepare.
As far as this whole program is concerned.
Maybe if I come rod batting point of note and no no no that won't be easy at that point then we can we can actually just look at the fact that.
About eight -- ten years from now nothing's going to be there anyway he that they actually is dire I can tell you that right now know we know that the media and nothing is done to a voucher program.
When he usually have -- what are Democrats actually doing at this point to actually reform it nothing obvious -- -- Joseph let's jump right doesn't it on the -- -- when Charles resell asks that question.
Kolb makes appointee there's nothing wrong with a back to what do you believe is wrong with a voucher system will change his Medicare and Medicare as we -- right now.
Means that if you get sick in -- over certain age you get coverage through what this is saying is well you -- you may get covered for part of that you get -- -- to buy part of it it's not terribly gutsy to say we wanna save money in Medicare.
By simply giving less money to seniors and having them bear the burden increasingly more and more.
Of coverage and in if that's what he wants to do -- she does have the guts to commence I had an opportunity for foreign Medicare.
-- yes Cindy Harris agrees with -- point she says it's interesting to -- the democrats' argument here it's basically yes -- -- needs reform -- But law where is your plan -- Is that what you're saying that there is no real plan I thought we did to have it all laid out in President Obama -- Careful.
As as far as I can see what we're seeing in Obama's health -- Reform is simply cutting of Medicare we're not seeing any kind of reform whatsoever.
Coming for the Democrats as far as Medicare it's basically just sit there and do nothing -- After a B I -- local race that the Democrats were simply cheering on -- -- -- -- reason why.
Paul -- Medicare planet is going to go down the tubes and this is why -- Democrats are going to be winning everywhere.
Yeah -- Bill Clinton went up to Paul Ryan said oh gee you know.
I really hope for the Democrats don't use this race do absolutely nothing on Medicare will -- -- -- -- -- Medicare reminds me of that line from the from the Vietnam War we had to destroy the village to say that.
They're basically destroying Medicare to allegedly say that.
There are plenty of plans from Democrats and I -- you know one of our other viewers writes in here John sort of drug known attack McCain says if we don't change Medicare Allen was it last looked twelve years Max.
There's not a fair point that you gotta do something we got -- of the Medicare but remember the problem Medicare is not the Medicare system with the underlying health care costs.
The administrative.
-- fees and Medicare about 3% compared to the twentieth or thirtieth for private insurers.
When we look at a country like Israel or France or Germany or Switzerland.
We want our doctors themselves not even X.
The wind does -- have not even accepting Medicare you even at this point they are not getting -- that led them on many products have been brought many doctors.
Milton many doctors at this point are dumping Medicare because they themselves can even keep open their own businesses woman -- -- -- -- -- to have Medicare remote -- can't afford it.
They can't afford it at this.
