It seems to be first -- -- for what I understand from doctors that's really rare if it's a legitimate rape.
The female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down but let's assume that maybe that didn't work or something.
You know I think there should be some punishment but the punishment ought to be in the -- best and not attacking the child.
Just a short time ago senator John Cornyn the leader of the Republican senatorial committee called the remarks indefensible and he said and I quote.
Over the next 24 hours congressman -- should carefully consider what is best for him his family and the Republican Party.
Senator -- remarks are important because he is a top leader in the Republican Party and on the other side of the I'll.
The president also criticized congressman -- comments during that surprise appearance at the white house press briefing here look.
Rape is -- And the idea that we should be person in qualifying.
And slicing.
What types of -- we're talking about.
Doesn't make sense the emergency.
Well congressman Aiken himself responded saying that he is sorry that he missed spoke.
But insisted he will not leave the race.
Carl Cameron with the -- he's live in Manchester, New Hampshire -- governor Romney spoke today.
The governor is also made.
What has this has come up -- from the governor's well girl.
Oh sure listen there's a lot of pressure on mr.
-- right now you mentioned John Corning is the chairman of the national Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee.
He's the guy who writes the checks to senate Republican candidates in mister Aiken.
Is one at least for today there's a lot of pressure on from from a lot of quarters the Republican Party to get him out of the race.
Folks in Missouri -- essentially said well Claire McCaskill the incumbent who'd been one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the US senate.
Now appears to be pretty good shape so there's a lot of -- -- that's being made about this.
Mitt Romney made his own long before the president held his news conference today mr.
Romney said quote congressman -- comments on rape or insulting inexcusable -- frankly wrong.
Like millions of other Americans we found it to be offensive.
He called the remarks indefensible any said that -- should apologize so mr.
Romney has done what so many Republicans are doing putting distance between himself and mr.
Aiken.
Watch the Democrats -- try to make as much -- as they possibly can about this for Clement castles benefit perhaps even for the president's.
Confident they will and oh I guess he just has 24 hours if he's going if he were to make a decision to drop out and there was there were three people -- a is a three way race in the primary and interestingly.
-- maybe not surprisingly.
Claire McCaskill is campaign is -- -- some two million dollars pushing for him as one who comes from the right.
Back in the primary process that's right.
There's not really a lot of attention going under the Missouri race.
Where Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are concerned they are all -- here in New Hampshire because of the town hall meeting they did today the first semitism is ever taken questions from an audience.
The first time the two of them have been back together since there initial debut on the campaign -- now more than a week ago.
Big crowd here this is kind of symbolic this is where Mitt Romney at his first big primary win.
So he used his 100 town hall to bring Paul Ryan here and and do it all over again and there was one thing -- I knew you would love this here in Red Sox Nation.
Politics is very big even when are getting close to the -- August and today it was a yankees fan.
-- T shirt on who stood up in the crowd now people could criticize Mitt Romney for being cautious and risk averse.
Well he didn't he didn't hesitate he called on the Yankees fan here in Red Sox Nation in New Hampshire watch what happened.
I will not raise taxes on the American people I will not raise taxes.
On middle income Americans we're gonna make sure that Americans have the money to pay their bills we're not gonna raise taxes that slows down growth it kills jobs.
We're gonna get this economy going and Mr.
President.
Stop saying something that's -- the truth thank you.
Well sorry -- you would love -- have you seen -- that obviously was Mitt Romney going after Medicare continuing what's been the attempts to shift the entire national dialogue to entitlement reform in the midst of this campaign meant initially thought and -- to be about jobs in the economy.
Medicare with a -- -- with mr.
Romney there.
Reiterating what the Democrats dispute is a false charge that the president would take 760 billion dollars out of Medicare to fund obamacare and yes there was a yankees -- here.
Any stood up with the Yankees -- Rami said we don't like yankees and he said look I like winners and I'm with you a shot of the Red Sox -- a softball -- -- Yes I'll say and you know the Red Sox is not the season they've won -- Bobby Valentine on a dozen all there -- there -- a rough night for I feel for my Red Sox friends I tell you that strangely.
