I think it indicates that were still a nation at war and it's important that the American people I think continue to understand that we're still a nation at war that we have.

Young men and women in harm's way every day.

And that it's important that we continue to have the national support.

About the security at a major base like that I don't think so I think we've got that good and strong security there but it indicates that that is a war zone and these things can happen in -- war -- -- -- and the Afghan.

Cops that we are training soldiers that we are training.

Forty have killed our guys over the last year twelve over the last couple of weeks -- this happening what are your sources tell -- That's not an area that I am familiar with other than -- a cursory level so I don't wanna get too deeply into that and is working very hard to transition in the situation there to the Afghans.

I think we've had a lot more success than we had had failure.

And we'll continue to work this hard over the coming months.

I wouldn't say I'm angry about it this is part of our political process and were hopeful that we'll get to a point where we'll get this resolved and a fairly quick manner.

How do you think the military is being cater to when it comes to voting especially those deployed overseas.

I think we have certainly a good opportunity to vote we vote -- a little bit higher numbers than the average American citizen -- I'd like to see that increased we have -- officers and all of our -- we can we do a better job to make it easier for -- men and women I don't think so I think we know how to -- it's really a matter of connecting our men and women to the voting sites in the again we have experts who can do this -- I don't think that's really the problem for -- all right -- talk about air -- -- here in New York -- here what's the message -- the air -- -- -- the recruiting numbers -- very strong.

But they are very strong but we want to continue to connect the air force to the American people we think that's very important.

One of the things I've observed during this week is how many people don't really understand what the military is all about.

What we offer in the air force how we are different from the other services so this provides us.

With another means to connect with the American people that we think is very important the general -- how what do you guys offer that that I would be able to possibly get in the army Marines it's really a way of life each service has their own culture -- their own way of life some people want to go in the army some people want to go in the navy and some people just -- to come into the air force so.

In terms of specific jobs there are very similar jobs and all of the services if you wanna be an engineer you can be an engineer.

If you -- -- be a mechanic he could be a mechanic if you wanna go into the medical field you can go in the medical field and all of the services so.

There are some slight job differences but I think people really going for a culture.
