When I imagine swimming.
From Cuba to Florida in the middle of thunder storms and jelly fish.
This is an incredible attempt she is try to before the said -- -- there in Miami he's got more on this is how this is if the things that we've -- can go wrong here are certainly coming into -- now.
Thought everything that could go wrong apparently did after four days three nights trying to swim.
From Havana to Key West we had severe thunderstorms last night she suffered numerous people jellyfish -- severe sunburn and icing on the cake.
Sharks were circling her and her flotilla.
Throughout the night Diane and I had third attempt since last summer to become the first person ever to swim freely and open water no shark cage all the way from Cuba to Key West.
And -- very disappointingly just about two hours ago.
In all it's -- 103.
Mile swim.
She made it about -- after swimming nearly nonstop.
For sixty hours straight no sleep whatsoever.
But as of this morning according to people on her support team who we've spoken with.
She's now out of the water on a boat but her face her lips her tongue.
All extremely swollen from those very painful botched Joey here's -- -- that those jellyfish circle in the night and making everything just absolute.
-- she's incredibly strong and I'm going to to swim around Manhattan she's an English Channel I believe.
I she's done you know these -- the -- -- decision sounds like might have helped to at least some extent.
Last night but there were just is incredible storms in the Florida Straits and they've been described as basically all hell breaking -- out there last night now.
Other -- caused absolute Havoc for night and her flotilla as they're all making that -- -- -- active thunderstorms came in tons of lightening the waves surged.
Got really treacherous actually push her off course -- east then south and west you probably got back going north.
But all to no avail as they pulled the plug on this latest attempt just about two hours ago here is how.
Not -- describe her lifelong quest before jumping into the Cuban waters on Saturday.
Believe me there are many deep personal reasons athletic reasons.
Reasons.
Wanting to feel alive at this age of 62.
But along with that and total sincerity.
Is my -- My desire to show the connection between this beautiful country.
At our beautiful country.
That -- Lindsey one of the support team coordinator down in the Florida -- telling us that everybody is on the -- now they will now make their way to q.s you'll probably take about five more hours but they are hoping.
That Diane and -- dad who is a very very driven woman.
The day before her 63 birthday well at least -- the last stretch get off the boat.
And then swim to shore for that last little bit there is a lot of -- down issuance of -- clearly extremely frustrating it is when.
That is little girl she would look across and say I like -- -- that someday I'll push her while she's an incredible story felt thank you very much.
