We don't need an extra tax break.
You know.
And as wrong or moving America forward it's not a good and you've got except Tony.
You built this business.
And -- formulate your business your achievement.
And we all benefit from that.
The back and forth in the campaign trail today and we're back with our panel you know my inbox this morning -- got -- an email from Matt -- campaign manager for Mitt Romney was talked about.
Deceitful rhetoric that raising money on this road said quote let's be very clear.
When you -- -- part of committing crimes and refused to condemn attacks to link her opponent to killing someone you've lost all credibility that of course in response to -- the president was saying.
In his brief white house press conference has the president cares -- lost all credibility.
He's got -- not lost all credibility but -- look at the fair criticism to say that you when he comes out and says that his campaign did not accuse.
Make an accusation that they clearly dead you know that there's a problem with that they have -- on tape have Stephanie -- on tape making the phone reference.
And you know this is just on that and -- -- -- I think so.
And I also think it's fair to say the guy ran on hope and change and he's not running a campaign based on hope and change.
But to do you know the reality is I I really don't think that this is the conversation most voters are having and the camp and an Obama campaign knows that.
So here's a couple of examples and so you have the president -- nobody accused of being a felon got Stephanie Cutter on tape saying it either makes him a felon or it means that has just been.
-- dishonest with the voters.
You have the -- optic.
Episode where the White House that we don't know anything about this guy and then had to backtrack and -- -- we we had him on a conference call we're told that same stories of people.
Could legitimately say.
Jones a lot of things that erratic appear -- -- and some of these things are still on the Obama campaign website you know these things -- he's disavowed Harry it's still there you go see them for yourself.
And outlook of one of the drives you crazy but the way a lot of the media is framing this is -- say how -- nasty negative campaigning in season this is.
And they -- that Obama accuses the long campaign accuses Romney of killing a woman with cancer and being tax dodger and a felon and all of these things.
And then this and Romney is comeback by charging Obama with cutting billions of dollars from Medicare.
Well these are not equal things one is like a substantial policy charge and the other one is a very end and again we have a today -- such negative campaign this Mitt Romney.
Is accusing Obama of being negative while it's -- factual thing that Obama is being negative and it's not a negative attack.
-- so so so what about this says Charles.
Attacks on substantive issues of policy verses the politics of personal assassination.
Well I think -- -- administration decided it can't run -- record.
Not a good one he can't run -- its accomplishments if you go to on the list moving its proudest of obamacare stimulus it's not genuine a run on all of them are unpopular.
And it's nice to kill Romney campaign as what was the headline of a memo that was leaked and obviously -- So to summarize the campaign it is of Obama campaign saying.
Mitt Romney will lay off your dad kill your mother with cancer deny your sister contraceptives.
Can throw your son have a college and you -- African Americans in a put Charlie and change.
I mean that's you know and that's not that I mean and they say are we going negative -- -- we're talking about issues.
You know -- that and he was talking about Dodd-Frank.
And regulatory.
-- implementation and implementation -- regulations on Wall Street.
In talking about change this is preposterous they don't have a record they know that and the reason -- worry about the Ryan employment and all the energy injected into the campaign.
Is that it was it's a way to make it into -- look at campaign about issues and they know the evolution of the contamination and Kirsten do you think that the Romney campaign in and turnaround from July -- now has the Obama campaign on the defensive.
Now I wouldn't say that I think that -- I really I.
That big Obama campaign is is is playing a different game -- there you know -- -- -- -- a lot of stories about the burn rate they're building a really sophisticated campaign and this -- sort of noise was going on but they're they're spending their time building campaign.
Micro targeting people buying airtime.
I mean that that's why they're spending so much money and so.
They're running a good campaign and they know where -- voters are they're getting to those voters are getting the message that they want to get to those voters and I I don't think that.
I'm these sort of inside Washington conversations as this putting them necessarily on the ropes.
-- on this idea -- of of the burn rate.
The Obama campaign went into the red.
In July by about thirty million dollars is still has an enormous war chests and 130 million dollars on hand the Mitt Romney.
As more and we're coming up just few days from now.
They'll be able to tap into the general election campaign and so do they really have any worries when it comes about the amount of money that they -- Well it's sort of aggressive response to to what here's -- will see right I mean of the Obama campaign is betting big on this infrastructure and all these things.
The bet is that -- get out try not to vote but the enthusiasm among their base doesn't -- isn't where it should be given how much money they spent on it.
Given -- they spent tens of millions of dollars on these ads from a tear down Romney and build up Obama.
-- still see this is basically -- deadlocked race.
So will it depends we don't know whether he's wasted the money here on and -- -- admits they're the cliche but -- we won't know until Election Day right Charles.
President Obama the Obama campaign spending money.
While -- to run a campaign spending money at about three fifths the rate of the Obama campaign for the Obama campaign.
-- larger figure it was almost 600 million dollars compared to just under 500 million.
Do is that an indication.
What of of what I I think.
Cases right they seen their only hope.
-- -- kind of a a micro managed constituency oriented campaign these constituencies as you know dangled.
Some kind of benefit.
Free contraceptives.
Cutting student loans Hispanics of the dream actually every constituency has sort of -- Handed out as we approach election and perhaps some value that I think if you have a record of this administration and you would be you'd then have an argument.
Over the record in the philosophy that was underlying it.
You lose so we'll see if it's technique or ideas.
I used to -- I was cynical but but perhaps I'm just a babe in the woods.
There's plenty of time left for you become cynical thanks folks for joining us tonight -- pre.
