The game of golf requires a lot of physical coordination.
And any golfer will tell you a day on the course can take -- -- on your body.
I recently met up with doctor -- Parsons.
An orthopedic surgeon at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City to talk about some of the common injuries golfers should watch out for.
The -- back is really put stress with golf with a swinging.
And with carrying your bags and and things like that so people that are prone to -- back injury you have to watch out with golf but be careful you probably have heard of golfer's elbow.
Which is in irritations muscles on the elbow.
That it you know when you group things or trying to rotate through the -- that can hurt you in the other areas the shoulder to shoulder -- injured with golf.
Both were swinging again with carrying the -- how can I tell the difference between muscle pain and actual damage to my -- It can be tough but usually muscular pain is gonna go in a few days or even maybe a week or -- So if you if you can strain a muscle like of the shoulder the -- sort of the two pieces -- the low back.
You know those things -- typically resolve -- -- some rest maybe some lights -- heat and some anti inflammatory medicines that are simple to take over the counter.
A significant injury to the joint.
Tendon injury led to the rotator cuff.
Or herniated disk in the back is gonna have more radiating pain down into the -- -- that's in the back down until legs.
And it's not gonna go away in a few days or week or two.
And those things are also start to -- your rest so this missile played through pain.
You wouldn't advise them right it's always hard to do when you're out -- your buddies have a great round having a lot of fun.
But if you -- something and it keeps bothering you after fuels that's probably others that more prudent to take a little break and hopefully be back in a week or two rather than -- in the horse the season.
Remember prevention starts with a good warmup and stretching exercise it's also good posture and technique will help you keep injury free.
